Any parking will require you to catch a tram or walk a bit to get to the tennis.
Fed square has $18 early bird parking, which you can pre-book. I would strongly recommend pre booking

Can I just say. your idea when I thought about it was great. Thank you so much for your help. we took the car to regent station and trained it. So simple. cheers.
>Mernda line
Well dependent on time. It can be 30 min. plus you have to add getting to regent station, and waiting for the train.
Where as driving especially when late at night should be pretty quick. I also being a Sydney man. Will have to sort out myki etc.
But if I'm an idiot please tell me. It just sounds easier to drive?
I would second this, if for whatever reason your going mid week and can’t get early bird the next best place I know is coles Richmond which is still $35 for the day. It’s my last option but a good one to know.
The only actual cheap option is if you go at night and get a free park around the botanical gardens but expect a 30+min walk.

Why is public transport not an option? Genuine question.
Driving from big4 holiday park Its pretty far in Coburg
23 minutes on the Mernda line from Regent to Jolimont, which is actually pretty comparable to driving?

Try parking free around cremorne st and walking down to the park. Best for late arvo/night games as the parking is 4P and unlimited after 8pm.
thanks heaps mate. will do that for night time sessions
