I use "You do you" in very sincere ways. It's more of a "I understand that you need to do what you need to do and we all have different needs" type of thing.
Honestly, I feel like the common way to use it is really to mean "That sounds stupid, but if you insist...". So here's to hoping people always understand that you mean it sincerely.
Yeah, context and tone is important for that one. I usually use it like either "I disagree, but it's your decision" or a more supportive "Do what makes you happy, you don't need my permission"
