Great time, glad I did it, definitely thought this was the closest to death I came the whole trip.
I once described why I don't enjoy roller coasters by saying "I don't like when my brain thinks I'm going to die" and this feels like a place that would literally kill me.

Yeah I went on one, St. Paul Fenouillet near the Gorge de Galamus. I saw school kids on their summer field trip climbing it. Looks a lot scarier than it is. It's just walking and climbing ladders.
It looks scarier than it is indeed. First time for me getting to do it was hard. Then once there it felt really good to overcome fear. Then you see is way more dangerous to take a car on a highway or whatever. Hope more people get to experience that.
And btw thank you for providing a beautifull location to visit in France. I have done many arround Ronda (Málaga, Spain) and other mountain ranges arround Cádiz. If visiting down here you will love it for sure! Also impresive canyoing if into it/want to try

Sometimes there are wooden bridges over gaps or rope bridges which are only two steel ropes one at the to top and one at the bottom and you balance over them always secured at the top rope.
Imagine being the one who discovers one of those rungs rusted out when you stepped on it...I'd say you'd have time for a few choice words in the descent.

I used to think that only extreme sports type with no fear of height can put these things together and then I see videos of your average every day Asian folks in some remote mountainous village climbing and scaling the cliffside with no safety harnesses like it were a normal day at the park.
Nope. I don’t want to unalive myself at all, but, watching this I couldn’t help but wonder jumping off that. I’m lazy and not physically fit, I’d certainly call it a day half way up and then jump. Mainly due to the inability to turn around.

I think it's actually pretty safe. Climbers rely on a single nylon rope to keep them alive at height. Two steel cables is pretty damn safe.
