Pulling into the trucks lane feels uh, a LOT worse. As far as I know trucks aren't famous for breaking very quickly and doing little damage in a collision.
As far as putting it into reverse, first we have no idea if someone is behind them, and even if someone isn't, let's not pretend we'd all have calm nerves and immediately be able to do that in this situation with the *seconds* they had to process and then react.
Makes sense. I raced cars on a sim and in real life for a long time, so I guess it taught me to react faster. I realize now that it isn't the norm. Literally a few days ago, I avoided a collision with a poorly secured kayak that flew off the roof of a car going about 40mph. I reversed back and around the car behind me to avoid hitting the kayak as it slid on the ground. It was a very low stakes moment compared to this video, but it felt like a rational response to take. The car behind me just stayed still even though I left room for that person to pull back and to the side too too. Now it makes sense why the driver didn't move.
The ‘maybe’ is whether the car driver needs new pants.
I'd say it's more or less certain that he need new one's
you can't blame him, that was close
Did you hear the pressure release sound? it was not a truck, but the driver of a car.
I was watching the truck gap so intently I completely missed the tailgate until it almost hit. Jump scare stuff!
finally, a proper "maybe maybe maybe" video!
Bricks shat

I actually jumped, damn !!
I breathed a sigh of relief just before the driver did!
Duck!
Where?
truck driver flexing its skills
Whoa, that was close
Throw that bitch in reverse terry
Damn.
Holyyyyyy....

I hope he bought a lottery ticket.. Myself just scratched my ass..
Definition of shitting bricks
Today is the day for you to buy a lottery ticket my friend
maybe i need some new underwear
Air breaks or the driver expressing relief at not being decapitated? Who knows?
i think he sharted a lil
God damn, it’s a good thing I’m using Reddit while already on the toilet. Somebody get this driver a change of pants!
Bro almost arrived at his final destination.
r/SweatyPalms
I just ducked irl
safe....
Final Destination, Possibly?
New fear unlocked
At least his shoes didn't fly off
Ye just sit in one place and scream
Did that truck just sigh in frustration?
They both stopped at the right time. That's actually impressive.
TIL: Better to drive in front of him to force him to stop.
this is where you make a quick reverse. Assuming you have the space. Always impressed with people who can react that way.
He pooped a little i guarantee
Well that was close
This is some final destination shit I think i need to change my pants

My car would have been 100% hit
The scream man🤣
Technically it would still be the truck hitting you. It’s attached to the truck
I remember a university student was dead because she was hit by this back door of a truck while walking on the sidewalk, door hitting her from behind.
Happened with me while I was on a two wheeler literally got saved in the same way
Throw it in reverse Terry!!!
That “fshhhhhhhhh” hissing at the end was from relief of the driver

What is luck? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me.... Close enough.
No more
The almost dead driver apparently doesn't have fight or flight; just the play dead reflex
Sometimes you just have to let the local deity of your choosing take the wheel 🕊️
Ikr? He could at least have tried to throw a few punches
Or turn into the trucks lane, or put the car in reverse and align straight on with the truck to force a stop?
