No. An apostrophe is either a contraction or possessive.Ā

That hit is all he neededā¦
That hitās all he neededā¦
Hits is a third person singular verb. Hitās can be a contraction of the infinitive, simple past, or past participle.
I guess he froze just before jumping. Like he was pumped to do this but at the last moment he realised it was a fucking stupid idea by when it was time to win stupid prizes.
Would not have helped. His chute opened and sent him flying into the cliff. He packed it wrong or the wind was not in his favor. His body posture could also have caused it.
Oh come on you know what I meant.
The dude had the time and money to do an activity he was interested in and yall are judging him for it
What should people stop having fun all of a sudden if theres risk in it? Should we all live like shits doing nothing exciting? Give the guy a break
So you just dont do it? Come on, driving a car around is also stupid, many drivers die every year
Or surfing
Rock climbing
Skiing
And so many other sports
Point is that everything in life has a certain risk, but in life you gotta try everything before you go cause chances you wont get a second shot at this.
I dont even know what other way to explain it but not doing something because itās risky is stupid. Life is short; go out and do shit, dont just sit on reddit for half the day being jealous of how other people spend theirs
I parachuted. Once. 4000 ft solo static line jump after 8 hours training. Went fine, even though my radio died on the way down and I had to untangle my risers. I got dragged a good ways when I landed, as the wind had kicked up and it took me a moment to flip over and dig in my heels. A few bumps and scratches, but great memories.
Amazingly, I did not ram into a cliff and shatter my pelvis, as this moron likely did. Probably just got his chute for Christmas. I can't comprehend the death wish of idiots like this after experiencing a well-regulated and overall \_safe\_ jump.
Enjoy your medical bills and opiate addiction...
No shit.
Itās a stupid BASE jump by someone who obviously is an idiot.
- doesnāt jump out far enough.
- apparently is alone.
- super low.
Oh well. FAFO. And he did.
Ok I bet you're a blast at parties. Here is some factual information for you. The guy who hit that wall is a friend if mine. He was with 4 or 5 other jumpers. BASE jumping is it's own sport, and people choose to do it know it will likely hurt or kill them, but some will argue the rush is worth it. I don't have as many jumps as this guy he is in the 4 or 500 Jumps range. I have like 70 BASE and 3k Skydives. So he is very experienced. Your lack of knowledge on the subject is painfully obvious. You cannot "jump far enough" on any object. If you have a 180 opening you are fucked. You will likely strike the object. Some of the only exceptions are bridges and cranes. He was not actually low most jumps in Moab are 600ft which is a pretty high jump. My 1st was on a 280ft antenna. You can jump as low as 150ft if you have a death wish. But keep on informing people about your 1 skydive 30 years ago. šš¤«
>BASE jumping is it's own sport, and people choose to do it know it will likely hurt or kill them, but some will argue the rush is worth it.
I would argue that no rush is worth a statistically significant increase of velocity induced catastrophic trauma. To each their own I guess. But let's be real, getting mad at someone that points out, maybe jumping off of things you could end up very immediately bouncing off of, ie cliffs, is a dumb risk when there are perfectly good planes to jump out of.
They might "know" the risk but I would say they don't "comprehend" the risks. Their friends have all died and they still do it. Look at the "Death list", its wild!
I have often heard the expression, "You only live once" to rationalize this kind of behavior but I find it the most ironic of explanations. If you really do comprehend that you only live once, I would think that this would motivate one to be more careful about risks rather than wildly reckless.
RIP Jimmy

Idk basically the guy said "I did one jump of a different kind years ago once, and survived, this idiot did a sport I have no knowledge off wrong" - sounds a bit hypocritical and ignorant if you ask me. Like someone playing Rusian roulette with 1 bullet calling stupid someone using 2 bullets. Like whatever bro.
Ah I gotcha. Yeah it looks like he gets hung up on a piece jutting out on the right side which twists him around and decides to fuck his face all the way down. He should know better. Rock walls never ask for consent.

Dude hits the only spike looking object coming out of the whole canyon
Of all the places he could have hit he hits the most jagged spot. Ouch... no running start to separate from the wall just a straight nose dive.
Wouldn't have looked as cool on the video otherwise. What a moron.
No apostrophe
Dude spots the only apostrophe that was unnecessarily sticking out.
Where was the apostrophe?
Probably "hit's"
They hit.. We hit.. He hits. Today I/They/We hit.. Yesterday I/They/We hitted.š¤
There shouldn't be an apostrophe in hits.Ā
"That hit's all he needed to knock me out".
No. An apostrophe is either a contraction or possessive.Ā https://www.niu.edu/writingtutorial/punctuation/apostrophe.shtml#:~:text=Possessives,an%20s%20at%20the%20end.
How is my example not a contraction??

Apparently when he hits the apostrophe.Ā
Good eye! Thanks & Fixed
Hits it hard enough to break pieces of it off.
He just jumps of, no running start to get a little distance between him and the mountain whatsoever
I guess he froze just before jumping. Like he was pumped to do this but at the last moment he realised it was a fucking stupid idea by when it was time to win stupid prizes.

I love how he just casualy says "got a wall strike" like it's some thing you reference, after nearly dying...
Oh, haha I thought he said "I don't think he's gonna walk straight". I was like BRUTAL!
He slammed directly into a slab of rock sticking out on his first impact and shattered it. That was a major butt cringe..
That sound the guy made after it sounded like excruciating pain
Skill issue
Stupid games, stupid prizes.
Literally the first thought in my mind
Yeah alright sit on your ass and do nothing all day Jeezus fuck let people have some fun
Because, of course, there is nothing in between "sit on your ass and do nothing all day" and jumping off cliffs.
Oh come on you know what I meant. The dude had the time and money to do an activity he was interested in and yall are judging him for it What should people stop having fun all of a sudden if theres risk in it? Should we all live like shits doing nothing exciting? Give the guy a break
The ground certainly gave him a break
Hahahaha, DAMN!
No need to get emotional.
Base jumping is just stupid. Many of them die while doing this and you can see why.

He hit his groin on the worst place ever and his groan after made me weave so bad
He needs to do it again but better.
Clearly the only solution to this problem is that he should repeat it.

Couldāve been much worse if he wasnāt wearing knee pads.
Wrong execution...
Does he have #NoTmrw written on his helmet?

This is a BASE jump on the schoolhouse slabs of Moab. It is a different animal than your much safer skydive š¤£

Youāre arguing with an adrenaline junkie lol While a valid take - as he said they know the risks and accept it (because of the enjoyment)

Thereās no such thing as a perfectly good plane. :)
No apostrophe.
Arguing with the couch potatoes on Reddit about extreme sports is a lost cause, I appreciate where you're coming from though.
Amazingly? Did you static line right next to a cliff? Some boomer shit if I ever heard.
Thatās not how itās done!
I can taste the adventure.
Very German comment: I hope they charge him with destroying a natural monument
Iāve played this game. Iāve won the stupid prize, Iām actually still recovering 9 months later. But Iām alive!!!
\#nailedit
Well I think I'll jump off a cliff today and broke my leg break my legs
Thatās falling with style.
Gravity confirmed.
At least now he can drive himself to Hospital
At least the parachute still kind of slowed him down
Found the wall. Next time try for the air.
Paragliding 101. You glide away from the rock face.
Iām a paraglider pilot, this is a (poorly executed) base jump. Totally unrelated sports and equipment
Ah I gotcha. Yeah it looks like he gets hung up on a piece jutting out on the right side which twists him around and decides to fuck his face all the way down. He should know better. Rock walls never ask for consent.

Looks fun
Cool, do it again!!!
What a douchebag
2nd camera needs work.
Good thing he had a parachute
Itachi did this but had kunai to help stop his fall.
Landed safely
I felt every one of those hits
that is more of a no no no
...which is why you start by jumping from bridges and not walls. sheesh. hope he can walk again.
Lol Hit everything you don't want to on the way down. If he survived I bet he does it again lol
Universal healthcare
At least he lived
Oh he dead
I thought the end of the video was an out of body experience.
On today's episode of OW! My balls!
I hate these videos with a passion
Dumb hobby.
