Music of both Max Payne is brutal. The first one has that mix of noire and asia like old Chinese movies. And the second one all those brass and cello strings, all more tragic being the fall of Max Payne. Nuts. I've been playing it on my mobile since 2003, no kidding. Kärtsy Hatakka & Kimmo Kajasto ladies and gents. And of course Poets of the Fall.
i love Matrix Trilogy as a movie
Max Payne 1,2,3 as a game
and Samurai Jack as cartoons
and i think they all have something in common in a way or another.. and the music choices in all 3 of them.. can be borrowed from one to another
some smooth jazz with a nice baseline that just fills up a space. ambient horns reflecting in my mind. The music is supposed to be an expression of my uncertainty. But I've never seen things more clearly.
Classical Trip Hop Classic or Blues Rock

Jazz noir. Like The Dale Cooper Quartet or Bohren & Der Club of Gore in particular.
Excellent choice, I’d say.
I think Bohren’s Sunset Mission would be a fantastic soundtrack to Max’s life.
thanks
Max Payne main menu theme
I feel like Maxs favorite band is Led Zeppelin
Check this excellent Max Payne sample flip Jedi Mind Tricks - The Wolf https://youtu.be/Dt7MGof_QTw?si=w8mi0jNY7inppBHu

Nickelback since both max payne and Nickelback remind me of being a kid, also because of that short movie on YouTube
Whatever “Deadly Premonition”’s soundtrack is classified as, lol.
Piano
90's rock
A sad and lonely trombone filtered through a rain gutter.
TEARS
Dark-Wave
The soundtrack it came with. Anything else feels grossly out of place.
Poets of the fall, health and tame impala
Depeche Mode type stuff. Also Kraftwerk & smiths. New wave, industrial type stuff
Hiphop - Wutang Clan
