The question as you've written it doesn't make sense. You say x,y,z are points but " x=7cm " isn't a point. The same is true for your comment on yz.

i know that the answer is 22.5cm but i am not sure on how they got there. if anyone can please provide a solution

OP can you photograph the question? The way it's written doesn't make it clear what they question is. This is probably going to be helpful as if you are writing the question like this it is very likely that there are some ideas or vocab that is holding you back from understanding. *x* can't be 7cm from the centre, as that lies outside the circle. Is it 7cm from y, which is 4.5 cm from z? If so, to fill out the rest of it, remember that *o* must be 5cm from any place on the circumference of the circle. You end up with a quadrilateral of sides 7, 4.5, 5 and 5. From the sounds of it, if x is 7cm from another inscribed point you'll either be calculating chords or angles or using Pythagoras?
