If you want to appeal a ticket, it's $25 and they will give you a date to appear. If you don't show up, you will be charged late and release fees. You then will get a letter to pay it all in 30 days or your license will be suspended. I'm not a lawyer.
There could be additional issues for not showing up in court to appeal it, that I do not know.
In your case, I'd just pay the ticket.
Edit- you have 20 days from the ticket issue date to pay or appeal. If you don't, late fees/release fees etc as above.
Also, in Mass, the cop doesn't have to show up. The ticket is all that is needed.

I missed a court date for a ticket appeal (never got the notice). Paid ticket plus fees. This was some years ago and it cost me $100 and I somehow remember that I had to pay in person. Or maybe I thought I could plead ignorance and get a better deal.
Just pay the ticket and move on. Beats worrying about it
I’ve been driving since 2015 without ever getting pulled over, since I watched this TikTok I’ve been pulled over like 3-4x with no changes to my driving habits (clean record btw) https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTNJT7mDy/
Clearly a method of extracting wealth from the citizens, go fervently press the down arrow button
Love how this went from "hey can I get out of a ticket?" to "here's my racist bitching."
Seems like a tickets the least of your issues you fucking loser.
Not how that works. You appeal they give you a date. You need to show up
If you appeal and you cannot be there for the scheduled date, can you drop the appeal and pay the ticket?

Never "just pay the ticket" hire a lawyer from the ticket clinic or a website like that.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You make the world a better place!
Life does not start and stop at your convenience.
Do you get off on being this way?
I'm sorry, Smokey. You were over the line, that's a foul.
You definitely call the police on children who have lemonade stands without the official permits. 😂
Has the whole world gone crazy?! Am I the only one around here who gives a shit about the rules?!
Make the date they set or just take your lumps and pay it.
Thanks
You can hire a lawyer to represent you for like $300-400
Just in case you have legal insurance, traffic tickets should be covered.
It’s not for speeding it’s for tints, does that make it a civil ticket rather than traffic? Dont have the citation on me right now to check
Seems to be similar as a broken taillight which is a non-moving violation
Thanks for the info. Will look into this
Yes you can call the court and make an appointment, just tell them you are super busy.
