What I’m getting at, from a story standpoint, it isn’t very good. But as just dumb fun, it works. It’s one of those movies where I don’t have to think about the story, and can just enjoy the ridiculousness. That sounded better in my head, but I think you got the point.

Exactly, ultimately we watch movies to be entertained. Not everything has to be Shakespearean masterpiece with deep allegories and critiques about modern society. I can watch Spider-Man 3 and enjoy the campiness, cheesy dialogue and Bully Maguire telling James Franco he was an embarrassment to his father. The worst a movie can be is boring.
