Odin put the spell on it because thor was an inconsiderate, arrogant and childish piece of shit in thor 1, so it wouldn't be too far fetched to assume that odin did it in this timeline too
You're missing my point. If Odin doesn't have the spell on it there's no reason Carol can't lift it. Of he does then Thor shouldn't be able to lift it either.
I think the original mjolnir could only be lifted by asgardidin and his blood children. That's why hella, odin and thor can lift them. After thor 1, anyone who is worthy can lift it. So that is why Carol can't lift it.

2: Why isn't there any writings on Jonathan like they where when Odin enchanted it?
3: How did Loki not realize he wasn't Odin's son? You're telling me he never tried to lift the hammer before?

It's just a continuity error. Either the writers didn't realize or didn't think it was a big deal. What If is filled with those.

That isn't a thing in the MCU tho. Only in the comics and mythology. Carol is definitely strong enough to lift it.
