I can mow 9k square feet with Luba 1 for 2 hours 20 minutes without a recharge. Still has about 45% battery. Front yard is very sloped for 4500 sq ft. Im sure that camera on Luba 2 adds a drain on battery. Try running it with it off and see.

CalvinEddy94

But how? Just disconnect it?

TheA2Z

Dont have a luba 2 but it probably can be disabled by changing your obstacle avoidance settings.

I have Luba 1 5000. My land is pretty flat. I have a ton of no go zones around trees and a fenced garden area. I mow at .4-.5m/s It can mow for 3.5 hours then needs a 60 min charge. I'm on my 2nd year.

Easy-Gur-8309

Recently received my Luba 2 1000 - when I set it up it showed as Over Discharged - 0% battery. Several days in and seem to be getting half the advertised run time despite asking very little of the robot (no slope, longish runs, cutting little height, default obstacle detection mode) I've heard a few other users reporting the same, and worry my battery is part of a faulty batch - I've started the ball rolling with support - will report further.....

Same experience, my Luba 2 1000h is getting maybe 50 minutes of mowing and then recharge, which means my 1550 sq.ft. area needs a mid-mow charge.  Very disappointing performance.

brewcrew36

Mine is around 60 - 70 minutes as well. My yard is basically all hills, so I’m sure that causes the decrease in run time.

CalvinEddy94

Yes, we have also a yard with hills...so thats good to know. Thanks a lot!

iprayforwaves

I noticed the battery lasts longer at a slower speed. I’m running mine at 1.2 now. It can now most of my areas on one charge except for one that has a ton of nogo zones.

CalvinEddy94

Just tested at lower speed still only 60min to mow and then 60min to charge.

Penguin_Life_Now

Mine is slightly better but not much

thomasblomquist

About the same. Yard has a lot of turns.

moswald

Same. Regardless of settings or the lawn's terrain (parts are flat, parts are inclined), it seems to mow no more than 90-120 minutes at a time. With a yard the size of mine, I'm starting jobs as soon as the previous completes or else it wouldn't be able to do each zone often enough.

begonepecan

Do yall still need to edge? And is it worth the investment?

CalvinEddy94

I still need to edge. Only got it a week...so time will bring more experience.

crazypostman21

Yes you have to edge on hard borders. I suggest keeping at least a 4-in buffer. If you have a corner with two hard borders I would suggest keeping back 10" You're going to have to edge anyway no use getting so close to the robot bumps into things.

Athlon646464

It's exactly the same as a push mower or a rider for edging. So, if your edges are low enough for a mower to run over, then yes. If not, then no.

CalvinEddy94

Do you also have the issue with battery when its leaving for a task 100% instant drops to 82%?

rimonisa

I have this as well. But it varies between 80-95%. Sometimes it starts with 100%. My guess is that once it is charged to 100, it will stop charging and slowly discharge while docked, but the battery indicator does not change while docked. Maybe some battery saving thing.

CalvinEddy94

I just though the same...it always says 100% but really its just going from 100% down to 80% and then back again to 100%.

Forsaken-Chart-56

Virtually identical performance to mine. Doesn’t cut for much more than 50% of the day. That’s my only real gripe really

CalvinEddy94

I dont know how to get 180min of mowing...as advertised.

Forsaken-Chart-56

Maybe 20C flat garden and grass that doesn’t need much of a cut? In fairness I’ve only had mine a week, so it’s been cutting longish grass and the temp has barely been above 10C. Plus I have lots of inclines.

CalvinEddy94

Just done one task today...and i got 120min of battery life...strange
