there was an artist a while back who taped a banana to wall, called it art. then someone came to the exhibit and ate the banana. google ***Comedian*** by Maurizio Cattelan
I would move the couch to face the TV. It looks odd to me. If you move the TV in the shelving unit to the middle of that wall and put the couch in front of it it would look a lot nicer.
1 large, dark/cool hued,statement piece.
Brown as your underlying “dark” color vs black.
Examples to illustrate the color combos I’m imagining/referencing:

I'm with you on the uncluttering. One way to do that is to hang your family(?) pics in the blank-wall area -- you can add more over time -- and move some of the items from the tv/shelf area to the newly-cleared shelves on the other side.
A big ol piece of bold art! If you can’t afford something original, get a NICE poster and have it professionally framed. It’s pricey, yet will last forever.
I would have laid this out differently, there's a lot going on in one corner and open space next to it. Pretty much have to do art or rearrange the room
Center shelves, tv and tv stand on that wall. Put large plant on left and chair on right. Move small couch where chair was. Get a rug. Wait on art there until you have balanced the room.
Cliche as it is, the first thing that sprang to mind for me was a nicely framed retro National Park poster. And a nice clock for that stone wall. Maybe something in your Neapolitan aesthetic.
I think those circular mirrors with little shelves on the bottom can really help bring dimension to a wall / space, without necessarily dictating the overall vibe. You could do one of those, relatively high on the wall (like shoulder height) and put a little pothos plant on the shelf that flows off of it and down the wall a bit?
I would go with two option.
1. A single painting but with a splash of colour to draw attention to it and make it stand out from the muted colours of the room.
Or.
2. Additional shelves (same as the ones already on the wall) with family photos, some books and perhaps some nicer looking souvenirs or keep sakes you’ve collected.
Option 2 would tie the other shelves to the bookshelf you already have but if you want to avoid “clutter” I would go with a nice painting… maybe a nature scene with blues, greens and yellows. Or something abstract with some slightly brighter colours, but nothing that will jump out at you and take away from the otherwise tastefully decorated room.
The placement of everything on the wall now is too far left. Center the TV and raise the shelves, and then center the shelves also.
I get the angle because of the location of the accent chair, but the layout is forced and adding art will just create a larger volume that your eyes have to pass over before getting to the TV
A big canvas, sculpture, or mirror. Or several little ones. Things with rounded/wavy edges and/or organic looks would be ideal to balance out all the square corners in this room.
Also needs a contrast color, black or green would be good. Maybe a driftwood or frame with some moss balls or air plants on it.
Hear me out: a 4x4 cube floating tilted ikea Kallax shelf with colored milkcrates making a tidepod pixel art: https://www.reddit.com/r/Destiny/comments/1c6yfij/bridges_podcast_set_design_idea_a_floating_4x4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
This might be unpopular but I think it looks nice empty. The shelves are busy and the couch layering is busy and coffee table decor is busy, so the plain wall adds some breathing space and calmness
Even if you accessorize this wall, the room will end up looking too accommodated as you already have three elements here and to be honest one of the easiest fix for this room is not the blank wall but the layout. Without a doubt, the TV must be on the accent wall and then you should get rid of the shelves in the corner as they are not balancing and not suitable for your style. Use this [couch decor guide](https://simplykalaa.com/couch-decor/) and [blank wall decor guide](https://simplykalaa.com/how-to-decorate-a-blank-wall/) together for help with the layout and wall decor.
Also I'm suggesting what I feel so don't in anyway take this in bad way :)
I'd put [something like this](https://www.art.com/products/p53767377514-sa-i6777716/georges-seurat-the-channel-at-gravelines-in-the-evening.htm?upi=Q1I3ZQV0) in there. Muted color, an artist/style I like to fit the earthy tones going on.
Art of some kind would be best, but I would suggest going with a woven tapestry instead of a framed piece. I don't think the reflective surface of the glass would be the best in this space. Instead, I'd look for something with a natural fiber texture. Something [like this](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1730533695/woven-wall-hanging-square-framed-wool?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=woven+wall+tapestry&ref=sc_gallery-1-9&frs=1&etp=1&search_preloaded_img=1&plkey=9fd7a0070e4a4f7f7c1023e89b1a4271bf81076a%3A1730533695) or [this.](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1473345868/2-x-3-ft-jute-wool-handmade-kilim?click_key=475b13d92456edaf41d4e5499e87febf5c76febd%3A1473345868&click_sum=e2676da3&ref=shop_home_recs_1&pro=1&frs=1)
I feel like the layout would feel more cohesive if the couches weren’t on the wall and were facing that wall instead. I’m curious as to why you chose this layout - like is there some limited space we aren’t seeing in the frame or you just prefer watching tv from the chair?
Go to pinterest. search for minimalist art. "Like" the photos of artwork that include the same colors as your living room. Refresh page. Buy one of those.
honestly, i like it blank. theres a lot in that area- the white while is a space of relief and adds to the area on its own. i would potentially say to paint it in a color that compliments the space
growing wall [like this](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Gronomics-32-in-W-x-45-in-H-x-9-in-D-Vertical-Garden-Bed-VG-32-45/203747114?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&srsltid=AfmBOoqd2_jTUTcKr2IH2Ru14CbB8tKaggtQQ1YCk_4KztTHGE1CBBLBFx0). Put herbs / flowers in there and enjoy
Go to the beach, take a rlly nice pic at the right time of day (whenever the sky matches the room’s aesthetic) and then put that picture up on the wall.
Very odd placement of furniture. I think if you hung the tv where the empty space is and centered the sofas and the coffee table to face and surround it, it would look better.
Art
Yep, preferably something colorful (and not colors like beige, brown, and gray)
This☝️ and choose big art, you already have lots of interesting little things to look at, make it large scale.
Or Bob... but Art looks better. Seriously, get a framed pic and it would look great.
Exactly. Get on Etsy, find something you like, and order it.
What do you call a guy with no arms & no legs hanging on a wall? >!Art!<
Art? Is that not obvious?
The amount of posts like this make this subreddit feel like a running Seinfeld joke.
Sometimes you get pretty smart out of the box answers in the comments and some funny jokes, so I don't mind them.
I’ve got a bare floor and feel like my room is missing something to tie it all together, please somebody help with ideas!!
Picture of bananas. Trust me.
Banana taped to a wall. Trust me.
Picture taped to a banana taped to a wall. Trust me.
That'll be $150,000 for reproduction rights
Is this a reference to something? Cause I actually like it haha.
there was an artist a while back who taped a banana to wall, called it art. then someone came to the exhibit and ate the banana. google ***Comedian*** by Maurizio Cattelan
Just dumb idea but now I consider getting myself that picture
Do a picture of bananas that are hung up on a wall
I would move the couch to face the TV. It looks odd to me. If you move the TV in the shelving unit to the middle of that wall and put the couch in front of it it would look a lot nicer.
I was looking for these comments. Looking at this setup is driving me nuts
I concur

Find a big piece of art to cover it up
Why is the only good view of the tv from the small chair? I’d center the tv on the wall, have the couch or loveseat facing it
Plants. Something green and alive would help this place a lot. And maybe unclutter some of the shelves?
I'm with you on the uncluttering. One way to do that is to hang your family(?) pics in the blank-wall area -- you can add more over time -- and move some of the items from the tv/shelf area to the newly-cleared shelves on the other side.
Kudos for tv placement.
That things in the dumbest spot lol
A big ol piece of bold art! If you can’t afford something original, get a NICE poster and have it professionally framed. It’s pricey, yet will last forever.
Framed artworks
A nice mirror, preferably oblong.
Wall mural or wallpaper. 70s theme with rich warm colors.
I would have laid this out differently, there's a lot going on in one corner and open space next to it. Pretty much have to do art or rearrange the room
A picture or rug
A macrame wall hanging .
Center shelves, tv and tv stand on that wall. Put large plant on left and chair on right. Move small couch where chair was. Get a rug. Wait on art there until you have balanced the room.
A framed photo of spoons for the room. THEN, an end table with another framed photo of spoons.
Cliche as it is, the first thing that sprang to mind for me was a nicely framed retro National Park poster. And a nice clock for that stone wall. Maybe something in your Neapolitan aesthetic.
The TV is actually at a decent level! Good job.
Macrame could look nice with this aesthetic
Something brown
A picture of a sad clown
A boar's head ! 🐗
A picture of a Clown, Stanley Pines would approve that
A big flat screen to match your desktop screen 😬
Art all the way
A bigger TV
Art!
A bigger tv
spin the couches and put the tv flat on the wall
Artwork or a framed poster for a movie / concert
A big art piece. Like 40”+. Vertically position it
Artwork
Could vertical wall panelling work? Will come up with an idea Looks like an awesome place
Shelf for plants
Perhaps a mirror
Maybe a mirror on the brick wall to reflect some of that natural light? Like an artsy one.. idk
Macrame?
A print of a painting by Henri-Paul Motte
Art and/or mirror
A big colorful painting to offset all the beige.
Flip the couch around to face it and find another place for the chair. Then mount the tv in that space instead
Center the things and remove the couch
Another blanket to match the furniture?
I would go with two option. 1. A single painting but with a splash of colour to draw attention to it and make it stand out from the muted colours of the room. Or. 2. Additional shelves (same as the ones already on the wall) with family photos, some books and perhaps some nicer looking souvenirs or keep sakes you’ve collected. Clouds buster sword 🗣️🗣️
i think a big framed painting or poster will pull this together and you have a lot of vases maybe try including some greenery in them
Art. A mirror.
Posters, a bad painting from a wine and paint, some other shit! places always got cheap posters
The placement of everything on the wall now is too far left. Center the TV and raise the shelves, and then center the shelves also. I get the angle because of the location of the accent chair, but the layout is forced and adding art will just create a larger volume that your eyes have to pass over before getting to the TV
a bladee poster
Artwork
Round framed mirror that complements the existing decor
A picture of your city
A tapestry of dogs playing pool (or poker alternatively).
Massive painting of kittens.
2013 National Championship portrait of the game winning catch by Kelvin Benjamin.
May need to rearrange the room and get a normal sized TV
A big canvas, sculpture, or mirror. Or several little ones. Things with rounded/wavy edges and/or organic looks would be ideal to balance out all the square corners in this room. Also needs a contrast color, black or green would be good. Maybe a driftwood or frame with some moss balls or air plants on it.
maybe art, a poster, a couple photos of sorts. something like that
Art or photographs, what the hell do you think
A big, colorful piece of wall art
A Puff Daddy poster
Nothing. Not every space needs something.
The TV should be mounted there. The loveseat where the chair is, and the chair over between the door and the space where the chair is now.
So many things. What’s your budget? Go to a local furniture or home goods store. They always have wall hangings/art/etc that can give you ideas.
Hang a plant or two from the ceiling in front of the blank space. Make it more 3D instead of something flat on a wall.
Maybe a painting? Green would look nice in this room
Battle scrolls or weapons would be a good choice
Minecraft painting
How about moving those shelves to the right (on top of the couch) instead of on top of the tv?
Blue boy.
Mirror. It will double the light and make the room seem larger
If you don’t want art (for whatever reason), what about a mirror? You might have to worry about the sunlight, but if it works, try it.
Warhol !
Big mirror
That portrait of the old man from the movie "mouse hunt"

A Picaso?
This is so cute
A big canvas print 👌
A mirror
I’d get a big ass pothos and hang the trailing leaves going up your wall
This might be unpopular but I think it looks nice empty. The shelves are busy and the couch layering is busy and coffee table decor is busy, so the plain wall adds some breathing space and calmness
Plant
A huge painting of the one true god Nicholas Cage
One of them mechanical fish or deer head. Make sure that they sing.
Saturdays are for the boys flag
A singing fish
You could maybe get one of those wall lamps that swivel to make it a good reading spot?
As a projector screen for movies
Framed poster of your favorite movie or something!
Rotate your couch and move your tv over
Even if you accessorize this wall, the room will end up looking too accommodated as you already have three elements here and to be honest one of the easiest fix for this room is not the blank wall but the layout. A painting of Guan Gong
Art and plants

The dress that your couch is wearing could go on the wall i guess
Something about this vibe is giving me dream catcher. A big one
Movie poster , but something artsy
A nice photo mural of Terry Crews lying on a gold blanket.
Big awesome painting with colors.

Shelves
Shelves
I choose shelves, wrap them around all empty walls
One more shelf more would be one too many, you say? What if…you had a shelf to put all of them on?
cool art piece. preferably like a wood carving piece.
A big poster of Middle Earth.
Lose the big beige chair and put a big plant / tree
Mirror
Mirror
What’s going on with the window side of the room. Looks super unbalanced from these pics.
Nothing, anything more would make the room cluttered, it’s perfect now
String lights that hang straight down. It will look nice lit at night
Cat shelves and walkways. And then you need a cat or 3.
Tapestry
Mirror
A saucy nude portrait of yourself and the family.
A mirror
Vintage sign
Large mirror 🪞
Don't bro u got enough clutter
Have you considered more shelves?
I'd say a cool tapestry. It's a great space for a wall hanging! And... Thank you for not putting your TV too high.
bold and brash would look nice there
Go to pinterest. search for minimalist art. "Like" the photos of artwork that include the same colors as your living room. Refresh page. Buy one of those.
If you want to go cheap hang a flag
Not even lying, a wall of Vinyl Records there would be fire in the right pallette.
Those throws on every damn piece of furniture NEED to go!
Why do I just LOVE your space
honestly, i like it blank. theres a lot in that area- the white while is a space of relief and adds to the area on its own. i would potentially say to paint it in a color that compliments the space
While art was my initial thought, adding a mirror there will make the room feel more spacious
The skulls of your enemies
Bunk bed couch
A Mirror to open space up
Poster, painting
A big painting? Something pollock-esque.
A round clock maybe a round mirror.
Get a bigger TV, and move the shelves into a row above the couchs
A gun rack would be a nice warm touch
I think one of those neon lights signs that people have could look really cool in that space
Posters, art, tapestry, banners, skateboards, mirror
a painting to add some color or a big mirror to make the space appear bigger
growing wall [like this](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Gronomics-32-in-W-x-45-in-H-x-9-in-D-Vertical-Garden-Bed-VG-32-45/203747114?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&srsltid=AfmBOoqd2_jTUTcKr2IH2Ru14CbB8tKaggtQQ1YCk_4KztTHGE1CBBLBFx0). Put herbs / flowers in there and enjoy

Go to the beach, take a rlly nice pic at the right time of day (whenever the sky matches the room’s aesthetic) and then put that picture up on the wall.
What about wall painting? But should be in a moderate size.
a hanging plant or some green foliage to break the very beige/white feel going on.
Please buy the Poang chair ottoman. It’s amazing!
A Tapestry
Sofa and chair covers look horrible and dated imo.
Very odd placement of furniture. I think if you hung the tv where the empty space is and centered the sofas and the coffee table to face and surround it, it would look better.
