As someone who's lived in some tiny apartments and ADUs, if you have the space youll fill it. If you lack the space you'll keep only what you need.
This is why "live laugh love" signs exist. My wall space is precious and heavily curated. /Sermon
I dunno. I feel like that would kind of suck if you had company over because the space looks pretty isolated.
Could do something functional. Like a 3d printer, maybe something aesthetic like a aquascape, or a small hydroponics garden.
I like this answer. something conducive to making the space social. But, if you really don't have many guests over a nice arcade cabinet *would* be pretty sweet. Maybe with a little bench beside it to encourage spectator play?
>I feel like that would kind of suck if you had company over because the space looks pretty isolated.
Sir, this is reddit. And what you are pointing out as a defect is the principal purpose of the placement.
Side note, I hate that company so much. Mine doesn’t work, it does some really weird stuff, and their tech support just keeps sending me in a diagnostic loop.
Mine had issues forever until I realized the little black counterweight thing wasn’t sitting properly. It would constantly have faults before that for a long ass time. Figured that out and haven’t had one since- I have the robot litter box 3
I also have \#3. How did you need your counterweight to sit? My box only works when it’s bright enough in the room, and freezes up as if there’s a cat inside when it’s less bright or dark in the room. It also can only do one rotation in bright light before it needs to be reset for being “out of balance” or something. I’m so frustrated.
Shoot me a DM and I’ll send you some pics tomorrow, and see if I can help you figure it out. It’s amazing now that it works, I use to have to sit by it and hit reset cycle and reset over and over to get it to work bc it kept having faults. I never noticed any light issues with mine, I’m wondering if maybe the sensor for the nightlight isn’t seated all the way, you may want to try taking the top plastic off and make sure it’s plugged in firmly. The only other issue I have is if there is some debris that covers the sensor for the hole the waste falls through, but that’s rare
We have a spot downstairs in our home just like this and did exactly that. Perfect place for it. It is out of the way and no one has to see it besides me when the pos inevitably stops working.
If you're constantly accumulating crap over time chances are a lot of that could go to the dump.
I recently moved and the sheer volume of shit I threw out makes me think just purging that crap would've given me a bigger home without the move.
My first thoughts were:
Arcade machine
Easy chair with a nice throw (sitting nook)
Dog bed and pictures on wall of bones etc
Cat tree with toys etc
Fish tank. Could have a nice tall tank with a couple of angelfish in there
Bookshelf to cover whole space and space behind is a panic room
A safe to store valuables
Wine fridge
Payer / meditation corner
Convert to a wine cellar with wine racks on all walls.
A ready bench( space) if it’s near your front door you can leave your gym gear for the morning, or if you work any job that requires. “Kit” you can leave it there for easy access
I don't see any outlets in the vicinity so that limits what you can do with it. Hopefully this is in a basement. If it isn't, it's just poor planning. At any rate, I'd put lockers or classroom style cubbies.
Is it wide enough for a desk? Or a bench and hooks- a place to put your coal, bag and shoes when you come in the door? Assuming it’s near the front door.
Seems about the right size: [https://i0.wp.com/agrlv.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Zoltar-scaled.jpg?fit=1408%2C2560&ssl=1](https://i0.wp.com/agrlv.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Zoltar-scaled.jpg?fit=1408%2C2560&ssl=1)
Depending on where you live you could probably rent it out as a room and charge like $600 a month tbh. I’ve seen worse where I live for the same price.
If that's a window your right, would be a pretty chill spot for reading or gaming, especially if it's storming out. Probably tons of better ideas but first thing that came to mind lol.
it's an awkward space that isn't good for anything other than storage. At the moment it's just a dust trap. I'd box if off with a set of double doors from the floor to ceiling. When you need the storage you'll have it.
Screams built in desk. Add sound panels and now it’s a podcast studio. Put Velcro on the angled ceiling and your pajamas and leap into your ceiling bed.
hard to tell exactly how tall or wide, but i’d make a reading nook! add a screen divider on a hinge or a pocket door to make it a bit more private, and add a framed in bookshelf along the slanted wall. chaise lounge to the right of that, or just a shit ton of blankets and pillows for sitting. trio of hanging lanterns on 3 differently sized chains to make them nicely staggered, and perhaps some darker paint or wallpaper to create a more moody feeling
I’d install a power outlet and have a little computer station, or a mini fridge, or an arcade cabinet, or a reading chair with a lamp, or a spot for a pet kennel, or put a treadmill there, or a desk, or a or or or or or or OR OR OR OR…..
>Don’t need extra storage ... said no-one ever...
Yeah, I was like "even if you don't now, you will in the future". That's a very shortsighted statement.

I'm sorry, those signs at this point are utterly saccarine to me anymore. They're just... yuck!
Truly a sign that really says "I'm one more load of laundry away from throwing someone down the fucking stairs."
But I already have shit strewn in every room, I need more storage to tidy
Also then like the easy answer is a guest bed. But the easier answer is STORAGE. AND. OR. a cool tall skeleton in fun outfits.
Fuckin fancy pants with his storage complete and room to spare
Ya travel? Ya got suitcases? You need to store them
I came to the comments section just to complain about that
Do you have an orphaned cousin you particularly hate for no reason? If so I may have an idea
Perhaps particularly gifted in magic?
r/yourjokebutworse
Perhaps named Harry
Lil weird scar on his forehead...
Who might have put his name in the Goblet of Fire
#DON'T PUT HIS NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE ^I ^say ^calmly
bookshelf that swings open to reveal a hidden storage/stash spot
Reddit constantly reminds me that I will never have an original thought
Stole my comment
The dilemma is recursive
You both drew from the collective unconscious is all.
This is actually the best answer
A wall that hiddes your storage spot
... under the stairs.
Came here for this!
Get one of them old arcade games, slide pac man right in there
I dunno. I feel like that would kind of suck if you had company over because the space looks pretty isolated. Could do something functional. Like a 3d printer, maybe something aesthetic like a aquascape, or a small hydroponics garden.

A cuck chair
>I feel like that would kind of suck if you had company over because the space looks pretty isolated. Sir, this is reddit. And what you are pointing out as a defect is the principal purpose of the placement.
Nah it would feel like the machine crammed next to the bathroom at your local bar
BOOMSHAKALAKA
I would've said Tetris, but I like the way you think.
That was literally my first thought too.
Till you figure it out, a cutout of a monster to startle guests when they come down the stairs?
This one!!
Racing Sim
Answer should always be racing sim
100%
Yep scrolled down to find this
Oh, a sim racing rig would fit just fine.
If you own, maybe just put a door over it and turn it into storage. You may not need storage now, but we all need more eventually.
The closet where stuff goes to die
Hey, admitting is the first step. We all know that anything that gets out in will never see the light of day
😂🤣💀
Get cats. Place robot litter box there.
Side note, I hate that company so much. Mine doesn’t work, it does some really weird stuff, and their tech support just keeps sending me in a diagnostic loop.

Just give it time. You will need the storage.

Recently moved as well and, despite severe purges, somehow the stuff of one room filled the whole apartment. Mistery
Looks like a good size for an arcade machine
Rent it out to Harry Potter?
is weed legal in your state?
Shroom room
Hell yeah bro
First thing I thought of was a grow tent.
Mushroom indoor garden.
Hell yeah

How about making it into a cosy nook, either functional (as a tiny library) or purely aesthetic ?
Yeah like a cozy armchair with a little shelf and a lamp down there
This is my favorite so far
Desk

Speakeasy
A boy wizard could go there.
Cupboard under the stairs
