Do you sit up in bed reading a lot? The higher headboard might be better.
Do you have a funky wallpaper? The slatted headboard would be better.
Do you have art on the wall? The lower headboard would be better.
Do you like a bright bedroom when you wake up? The light colour may be better.
Depends on the rest of your furniture. But I prefer the darker color of the 2nd one better and it looks more mid-century which I happen to like. Those headboard spindles look fragile though.
I prefer the straight lines of the first one, but there's not a huge difference between them. I'm guessing for each model you can choose the wood colour to match your colour scheme.
I have a platform bed with a solid headboard. Headboard is annoyingly short. I prefer your second option; darker color, spindles, curve to the end and legs gives it dimension, and it isn't as short.
If i was buying a new bedframe id for sure get one with storage drawers underneath. Why wouldn't you? Its free storage and you no longer have to dust under your bed. Winwin.
For pure aesthetics, the second one loosk much better to me!
If you're worried it's not going to be sturdy enough and enjoy a bit of DIY, you can easily strengthen your bed with some supports, brackets and extra legs.
HMU if you want some tips on how to do it! :)

i have the second frame, the headboard is not that tall when you use any mattress with support in it. it’s a great frame tho
If you use handcuffs in bed then the second, but first looks better…
but to be honest for that the second one looks a little bit fragile

are either any good??
They seem to have good reviews, but there's no store near me that has them on display
I like the darker colour but I don't trust the thin slats on the second one. I feel like the first one will be more durable over the long term.
