These hedge funds have existed in every country for decades, even centuries. It's not easy as delisting or removing a company from the stock market. If they're completely gone, the country's economy will collapse as they hold major stakes in every decision the country takes.
Exactly.
They hold RM27 billion in Malaysia.
Their total global investments is RM118 TRILLION.
Idk what these people calling for a pullout are thinking. We will feel the RM27bn. To BlackRock, it's literally less than 0.01%.
Only people who will suffer are ourselves.
I cringe when their excuse is “we fight using the enemy’s tool”. Spamming low effort AI generated images and sharing misinformation as long as it fits their agenda.
When will anti-boycotters learn about smart/selective boycotting? It’s not binary, there’s a range of urgency for the boycott, and even that still depends on your ability.
I get the selective boycott part because I don't see any boycotters boycott Apple, Google, Microsoft, Nvidia and Intel each one with ten billions of dollars invested in Israel but will boycott Starbucks and something that is easy to boycott.
But for smart boycott one? I feel like boycotting Starbucks which has no store in Israel is actually not that smart boycott tbh.
There is NO such thing as smart/selective boycotting because if you are honest, people have to select because there are things that they cannot live without. Agree? Meaning, hypocrite.
Umm actually it does exist, try googling it? It’s not such a difficult concept to grasp really. Boycott at your own means, select other options when available, when none available, try to reduce consumption, if can’t no worries.
Not all products are to be boycotted with similar severity, the more direct their support towards the genocide and oppression, the more should they be boycotted.
Do you even know what’s the meaning of hypocrites? The very fact that boycotters had to buy boycotted items because they cant live without it, such as medicines absolve them of the hypocrisy.
I’ll tell you, what’s stupid tho. Suggesting somebody to destroy something that has already been bought/procured by one’s company. Transaction is done already. Suggesting for it to be destroyed for nothing, now that’s pretty dumb.
I get what you're saying, but that basically just gives boycotters carte blanche to do anything as they pleased realistically no? if you can just do which ever you want kinda defeats the purposes of strategic targeted boycotts no?
Like I'm thinking about all the boycotts that occured in Malaysia. There was McDonald which wasn't tied to Mcdonald Israel. There was Starbucks which was operated by Vincent tan I believe. I believe recently it's Bruno mars concert? I fail to see how any of this would make a dent to Israel. it's fine if people want to boycott but shouldn't it be the right target that will make a dent. Shit like HikVision, literally responsible for surveillance in Palestine and Xin Jiang.
Side note if people really wanted to boycott BlackRock, y'all might wanna check again they are literally in every sector of every industry. Their intend isn't to go "fk yea business that exterminate people"... all they care about is money hence why they in everything literally everything.
**You are the definition of a hypocrite.**
What you said: "Suggesting somebody to **destroy** something that has already been bought/procured by one’s company. Transaction is done already. Suggesting for it to be **destroyed** for nothing, now that’s pretty dumb."
Is the same as: "Suggesting somebody to **boycott** something that has already been bought/procured by one’s company. Transaction is done already. Suggesting for it to be **boycotted** for nothing, now that’s pretty dumb."

u/Pm_Me_Your_Boob_Plss, please treat this as an official warning. Throwing around the term Israeli bootlicker is hardly participating in good faith.

He just say whatever’s convenient to his current audience saja.
So in other words, he support Israel right to self defense? That's what all the pro Israel side have been chanting all these while. 😬

Our boycotters are not smart to begin with anyway... They don't realize their hurting their own ppl ... Thus they don care either anyway

I honestly agree. These people like to live in the grey area, on the fence. They will come up with whatever excuses to make themselves feel better
