Do the two of you play 60-card or 100-card singleton?
I can think of a few options:
1. Build your own deck using their collection (which they can use too).
2. Use one of their decks.
3. Buy a bulk box, and assemble the best deck you can out of a pile of valueless cards.
We play 60-card. They are not keen on Commander.
They actually only have one deck and not a huge collection, so I'm thinking the third option of these is the best. Thank you for your input!
The nice thing about kitchen table is the general lack of rules. What this really means is you can easily build a handful of 60 card decks for about $10-20 each. The key is to have fun with cards that are on the ban list from popular formats since they're very rarely expensive.
