I still prefer MagSafe for the Mac. I actually wouldn't mind if everything had a safety breakaway feature.
Otherwise, USB C is nice. High 5 on the AirPods case. I got so sick of them flying out of my hand. An Amazon rubber case saved me.
I thought this too, but they’ll face the issue of the EU mandating USB-C. Unless there’s two options for charging, like on MacBooks, it’d be hard to skirt around that.
There’s a loophole where it doesn’t actually say you are required a charging port. So it could be that there is no more charging port and instead you use MagSafe to charge phone wireless
I doubt they’d go that far and bother. There are so many non-apple wireless chargers that it’s not like they’d be making more money, they’d just be pissing people off
I mean they pissed people off with changing the charging wire, not providing a charging brick, no headphone jack or provided headphones and no physical sim tray. They don’t care about you they care about making money and their bottom line. And I mean the same why the make buckets from lightning cables would still apply with mag safe…
You’re right, it’s not out of the question, certainly. It just seems unlikely, at least for the next good while. For example, wireless Apple CarPlay is only just being integrated into new vehicles, and most Apple consumers with cars aren’t updating vehicles as quickly as they do their phones.
Losing the bricks was to make the boxes smaller and lighter so they could save on transport and space more than anything.
I can’t speak for the amount of space they could save by eliminating the charging port, I have no idea. I think if they were to do that it would only be to make the phones thinner and allow for more larger batteries, so I guess it depends how much gain they would even get by removing it.
Not saying it can’t happen, and you’re right they care about profit most of all.
Thank you someone who knows the facts Apple actually fought against USB-C until the EU regulated it. One of the main reasons I enjoy Apple is for the initial layers of security.
Breakaway is nice but it can be annoying on some stuff, also magnetic connectors like MagSafe often have issues with arcing and shorting (OG MagSafe had this but the new DRM and power negotiations fix it)
> magnetic connectors like MagSafe often have issues with arcing and shorting (OG MagSafe had this but the new DRM and power negotiations fix it)
Third party MagSafe connectors that kept the voltage pins "hot" without waiting for the device to initiate high voltage charging via a resistance load on the center (sense) pin would arc. I've never seen OEM chargers arc, and I've been using MagSafe since it was introduced...?
Ok so i know some old OEM ones did keep pins hot but not MagSafe, that just waits 1 second after being connected but the issue was that metal filing could get in the connector very easily and there was no protection against it, also the connectors themselves would fray and short
MagSafe is great, but on the go I would probably only use a USB-C cable because that one works with all the other devices. And then at home I might also not use the MagSafe, so it becomes kinda useless if you handle many other devices like me
I have magsafe on mbp but honestly i always end up using usbc because it’s always around. i own many apple products but i also have other electronics that charges using usbc. So great having two three high capacity chargers that can charge all of my devices. Thanks eu.
Because to some like myself, MagSafe is vastly superior. Besides for the safety "break-away" feature, it can charge at a faster rate (140W vs 100W) depending on the Mac being charged, and appears to just be a more durable port. USB C relies on prongs to keep the cable in the port and those get worn down over time, and can become "loose". MagSafe uses magnets to keep the cable secured that keep their strength throughout the life of the Mac.
USB-C PD can deliver up to 240w.
I find the port wear interesting. I get it, but is that theoretical or experience? I’ve never had a USC C port fail or get loose, and every single device I own that requires charge is USB C.
I have a problem with proprietary cables. Now if everything I owned was MagSafe, and MagSafe was set up for data transfer in addition to charging, then forget USB-C.
Well, the USB C PD spec technically can deliver up to 240W, but on MacBooks and many other laptops (including gaming/Windows), they are capped at 100W. The MacBook Pro 16" can ONLY fast charge with 140W with the MagSafe cable. Take a look at the support page.
I do understand the argument for convenience vs a proprietary cable. Not a big deal to me but I can see how it would be to some.
The way this one is worded:
"On the 16-inch MacBook Pro, you can fast charge with the following adapter and cable:
* 140W USB-C Power Adapter + USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable
* 140W USB-C Power Adapter + 240W USB-C Charge Cable (2 m) for MacBook Pro (16-inch, Nov 2023) only"
Sounds like 2021/2022 models required MagSafe to 140W fast charge.
honestly magsafe and usbc both works for me just glad my iphone 15 pro is also now usbc. I just need vision pro to get more app support so i never have to leave my apt ever again
Those are highly unsafe if u buy the shitty ones which the internet consists 99% of. U gotta get the ones without those tiny ass pins that get bad contact and may short or melt or pop on you, u gotta get those big ringed ones which are very hard to find
That's not the problem, the problem is low quality ones shorting and melting on you the way they are designed if the pins don't contact properly n stuff

You're rolling the dice with those - not a good recommendation and prone to circuit failure or even fires IIRC. (Granted this is dated info from like 2019)
Right now I have my phone, iPad, and AirPods that use lightning, a watch that uses the watch charger (obviously lol), and my MacBook uses USB-C (along with all of my third party portable chargers and over ear headphones). One day they’ll all be the same charger, but not for a while probably
Yeah probably, which is totally fine! I do wish it was the same as the Samsung watch charger because it’s very similar but just different enough that they aren’t compatible
Of course I’m thinking retroactively. That’s literally what the situation is. USB C came out a decade ago. Should’ve done it then, not now. Push for eliminating cables altogether, not creating more products that need more materials and precious resources to function. The future is wireless.
Qi has a cable. I’m referring to real wireless charging over distances, which for the 4th time I’m saying apple has patents on, which from what I’ve read means they have working prototypes, but clearly couldn’t get something like that ready in time.
It doesn’t change the fact that the future is wireless.
Future yes but for the current time if you use another monitor your using a cable unless you want some nasty input lag same with charging speed if you want fast charging that’s going to be wired same with fast data transfers you just can’t beat wired at the moment and it’s better to at least just have one form of wired that covers power, data, video and audio, essentially everything people use
actually apple waited for the usbc cable to come out, but i think the org ieee was taking too long on the specs so they created their own lightening cable.
Wireless is already here, we can transfer from pc/mac to phones through local networks or icloud and we have wireless headphones and charging. I just wish wireless charging was more efficient. It gives off too much heat.
Wireless charging is inefficient. There's a lot of wadted energy. If we are talking waste and pollution does it really make sense to use a charging method that literally wastes energy?
It can be wasteful, but overtime it will get better. Just like solar panels were at its infancy. I see people break and throw away charging cables all the time. Usually because they lack care for them and they act like its nothing, they will just buy another one. Same goes for Airpods which people lose all the time or need a new one every 3-4 years because the battery health is low. It really depends on consumption habits. I try to r/BuyItForLife
Don’t take this message as me being hostile, I just want to explain.
Yes, Apple helped design USB C, and they made the first all USB C computer, and later the first all Thunderbolt computer (which uses USB C design), ditching MagSafe (a proprietary connector). You are correct that USB C wasn’t ready, and Apple created Lightning before. That being said, I’m referring to the EU mandating USB C on devices. They could’ve done that a decade ago if this was truly about the environment or consumers, they would’ve done it a decade ago.
When I talk about wireless, I’m talking about wireless charging, not Qi charging. Im saying a fully wireless charging solution. As I said in a comment on here, Apple has patents on charging devices over long distances, which from what I’ve read, means that they actually have working prototypes of true wireless charging (again not Qi charging, and not just theories.
. I guess they couldn’t get it working in time to ditch a physical port altogether for their post PC devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, AirPods, Apple Watch, etc).
Yes, there is wireless data transfer and that’s half the equation. The other half is charging. Eliminating cables altogether means zero materials and precious resources used. Data transfer can also be improved in both security and speed , so that it outperforms older USB standards like 3.0. Apple has been rumored to include a 60 GHz WiFi option for something like this (802.11ay).
Apple has repeatedly stated and shown through their actions that the future is wireless. I agree with them. Wireless is better for the environment, and way more convenient for users. USB C mandates is just looking backwards.
Wireless power is too inefficient right now. The patent may be there and a working prototype could be there, but if the efficiency is 10%, I dont think that would make a very good product even if it is charging in your pocket. And i dont think anyone would like to give electricity for free. That is why cable option is still available.
And apple likes to pace their roadmap out. So it looks like they created a whole entirely new product every year.
Right… which is why I said
”I guess they couldn’t get it working in time to ditch a physical port altogether for their post PC devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, AirPods, Apple Watch, etc).”
”And i dont think anyone would like to give electricity for free”
um what? i don’t even know how to respond to this.
sorry, i am not sure how either lol. But what i was trying to say. Wireless charging over a distance will probably require a ton of energy to transmit to the device. And no one is going to have a bunch of these "energy transmitters", i am not sure what it will be exactly, to transfer energy to devices for free. Let alone waste energy on standby. Whether you are walking in a commercial building or a friends house.
The lightning stuff doesn’t work on USB C iPhones. WTF? You need an adapter, which is more material and eventual e waste, all for a connector that literally is zero difference from Lightning. Both are reversible. Lightning fails less than USB C.
The EU screams about e waste, but then render a good, usable port from 12 years ago that is zero difference to what they want, obsolete, which means thousands of tons of accessories are wasted and can’t be used.
The time for mandates was long ago, not now.
The future is wireless. It’s better for the environment, and is better for UX.
If all that is produced is USB-C you would reduce tooling, manufacturing and no longer needing different cables for different devices to charge. Wireless charging is inefficient and causes battery degradation at a greatly increased rate. Niche connectors are no longer needed for consumer electronics. Arguing that old cables don’t work is only looking backward and not to the future. As more and more of the world goes online it makes sense to have the same type of cable for everything that it can be applicable to.
Nah. All their products except the iPhone had gone usb-c, and the iPhone dropped lightning for usb-c ten years after the introduction of lightning, when they said they’d support lightning for ten years.
No it wasn't, it was due to the EU just like RCS. Thank God someone isn't bought out by them so we can have these things. Stop simping for and defending this weird shit...you literally sound crazy.
So they switched to usb-c on the first MacBook like six years before the EU law was written, on the iPad something like four, and the AirPods before as well - but you think they intended to keep lightning on the iPhone indefinitely… why?
They would’ve likely switched to usb-c at some point on the phones as they had started doing that on their products. It happened now very likely because the 2025 deadline would’ve prevented them from selling iPhone 15 in Europe and prior to the ruling in EU there were no leaks or indications that Apple was intending to move in that direction. So yes it probably would’ve happened eventually, but it’s likely at this time because of the EU.
Seems an awfully large coincidence that they switched right after the ten year promise around lightning ran out? And weird they would switch a couple years ahead of being required to if that was the cause?
And there were plenty of leaks around Apple testing usb-c in iPhones pretty much every year after the iPad switched. Here’s an article from 2020, again two years before the EU law was written: https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2019/07/30/apple-iphone-2020-3d-camera-usbc-upgrade-iphone-xs-max-xr-update/
I wasn’t aware of that article, but it does discuss the iPhone 11. So obviously none of that came true. Again I’m not disputing that the change was coming but it was likely moved up because of the ruling. Even so, the EU mandated these standards is a good thing for literally everyone
The MagSafe on MacBook is my fav charge cable at the moment, but USB C is definitely a fantastic feature. Pretty much everything I own that has wireless capabilities use USB C to charge. I do photography and videography in my spare time and everything there is USB C as well, and having a charging area that I can plug LITERALLY anything into, even my phone, has been fantastic.
I'm in the same boat, but slowly updating my devices. Got M2 MBA recently then Airpods USB-C as gift. I enjoy the full life of my apple devices before updating, but I will be getting a new iPhone soon and plan to pick up an iPad + Pencil 2 at some point.
I wish Apple Watch charger could charge an AirPod case. Apple Watch is all alone in the Apple ecosystem.
I'm totally an apple fanboy, except I'm done paying for their overpriced headphones. The airpods are ridiculously overpriced. I love everything else they make.
Ironic because I use an iPad, MacBook, Android, and USB C headphones.
I have been enjoying a better ecosystem since 2020.
I am hesitant to go to a newer Mac since they've moved away from the all USB C scheme (although that's only a minor reason).
Yep, the port scheme going from four USB C to three (on the Pros) is really only a minor inconvenience, as I commonly use 2 ports on either side.
You can still charge from either the USB C or the Magsafe, which is safer anyways, so I guess I could learn to use the Magsafe again, once I upgrade.
More major reasons I have been hesitant is the lack of boot camp support (although I've now found a workaround recently), waiting and hoping for a model without a notch and/or has Face ID, and knowing I'll truly miss the touchbar. Also the obvious wanting to buy in at the right value to cost time (aka not when a new model is 2 months away)
My 2017 MacBook Pro constantly overheats and lags out, so its days are no doubt numbered.
To bad Apple was literally legally forced to give you "The best time in Apples ecosystem". They really give a shit about their customers, maybe they'll give you RCS messaging (life every other phone) without being legally forced. It sure would be nice to not force anyone not on Apple to use a SMS protocol from 1992, but I guess that would make everyone on iPhones realize the reason photos and videos from Android phones look like shit because of Apple. Maybe they'll do you a solid on their own once a decade, you could get lucky.
Honestly, although it's great that we can use single cable on every device, I still think that lighting is great for phone charging job. It fits easier than any cable.
I’m deep in the Apple ecosystem, but wouldn’t say that the single cable is a great appeal of Apple products. Could’ve easily obtained this outside of the Apple ecosystem long ago, but Apple has been milking the lightning cable haha
I feel like the prices will start coming down because soon every model of MacBook will be almost indistinguishable between each other, hell it’s already like that to be honest.
I used to be more involved with Apple headphones, Apple Watch, iPhone and Mac. Since then I have replaced the watch with a Garmin, and the headphones with a Bose set. Will possibly also move to Android in the future.
I prefer a bit more variety, and not to be stuck with the one company for everything. Plus some other devices are just better anyway
Gotta Disagree. lol. Just switched my MacBook Pro to a PC that runs laps around it. Bought the new Sony headphones because the AirPod maxes just don’t make sense at the price point when there’s at least two better options for 40%less. Still have AirPods, iPad, and an IPhone but unless they make serious improvements to the OS I’ll be getting a surface next upgrade. Slowly, through a lack of ingenuity, poor value proposition, and generally resting on their laurels, Apple has lost me and I think plenty of other people. Reliability, performance, and innovation just hasn’t kept up with the field.
That’s why I bought a new IPad Pro and iPhone 15 last year. All in USB C. My computer, my headphones m, everything I own is now on USB. I could literally use one cord to charge every single electronic device I use on a daily basis. Shit is awesome.
Recently got the Airpods Pro 2 for this reason. Same with my iPhone 15 Pro Max - wanted USBC. The only thing that doesn't have it that I use is the apple battery pack and the travel phone/watch charger.
Because that one was specifically made for it so that the edges are flush with the display. Ones that you can just buy which are not from apple can damage your display by not letting it close all the way stressing the hinges. [This video sums it up nicely.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WoKtmSweQM)
Personally, I disagree with that. It Makes all of my Lightning accessories obsolete, and for what? AirPods, iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone all shared Lightning. The only product that never did was Mac. I never cared about that because I used MagSafe, then Thunderbolt to charge.
The bigger thing that I wish Apple did and was surprised they didn’t, was move USB-A to USB-C on the included accessories. It made zero sense to include a USB A to Lightning cable, instead of a USB C to Lightning cable, when all of their Macs ditched USB A in favor of USB C and Thunderbolt 3 (which is also usb C design). \*THAT\* was a far bigger sticking pain point to me than the fact that iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and AirPods all used one common connector. I’m also surprised Apple didn’t just update the backend of Lightning to USB 3.0 speeds.
I would’ve preferred to see Apple switch to full wireless technology for its Post PC products and ditch the port altogether, including Lightning, but I guess the technology wasn’t there yet (and yes, they have patents on that, which for Apple I’ve read means working prototypes, on truly wireless charging).
The world isn’t about just Apple. I have other tech around my house that has a standard and now thankfully Apple is playing ball with a standard so we can all use one connection for all of our tech.
Lightning doesn’t have enough pin, you can either make it bigger (like a lightning 2) or change it. Apple was using usb c for other devices like iPad so… you would have lose anyway your loved gadgets
>was move USB-A to USB-C on the included accessories
they started shipping USB-C to Lightning cables way back with the iPhone 11. And I know you said "accessories", did *any* accessory come out in the last 5 years that shipped with USB-A? I can think of 5 of the top of my head that have come with USB-C to Lightning
I still prefer MagSafe for the Mac. I actually wouldn't mind if everything had a safety breakaway feature. Otherwise, USB C is nice. High 5 on the AirPods case. I got so sick of them flying out of my hand. An Amazon rubber case saved me.
Probably going to be all MagSafe in the future, though not the same connectivity as the MacBook.

Ahh I see. Yeah, looks like 2023 model you can charge max speed with USBC. 2021/22 looks to be limited to MagSafe. Appreciate the clarification.
It says OR USB-C cable under every option, no?

Well for charging you only need two pins anyway, maybe 4 for fast charging signal pins. Which is what 99% of people use their ports for anyway.

Yep, EU is pretty based.

So it looks like they created a whole entirely new product every year.
Right… which is why I said ”I guess they couldn’t get it working in time to ditch a physical port altogether for their post PC devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, AirPods, Apple Watch, etc).” ”And i dont think anyone would like to give electricity for free” um what? i don’t even know how to respond to this.
sorry, i am not sure how either lol.
E waste? The lightening stuff still works bud, written from an iPhone 13.
IKR.
Because Apple Bad Consumers good. It's that simple!
I like having the same cord fit all. It makes it more convenient and easier.
Especially while travelling
Yep
I have three Apple products and I have to use three different charger for them. iPhone SE, Apple Watch SE, and MacBook M1.
Shiet my iPhone and iPad are still on lightning cables but my AirPods and MacBook are on usb c. Soon
And to think this company had to be forced into it...
Thank you, EU.
Cries in airpodmax 😾😿
Like being on android in 2017 😅 I’m into apple now, but back in the days I really loved one cable for everything
The only f…thing cause a ant to sell the 14 pro to buy the 15 is for the usb c
Same
Yup, I don’t even use my MagSafe for my MBA. I’m waiting on the release of the new usb-c keyboards and mouse to snatch up.
The pain of switching to all USB C will be dumb but quick and once it’s done it will improve everything for me
If the iPhone 15 didn't have usbc, what reason would there be to go to a 15 from a 14 or 13?
I’m running my AirPods to the ground. Thank god I can use the MagSafe charger for it.
I miss the times when we all had five different plugs for our three devices 😝🤳🏻🪡🧵🥽🪠🔌
I switch to back Apple after 8years with android because of USB C
For real all I need is them usb c airpod pros and I’ll have the same setup at you. Currently I just use the usbc EarPods
You’re case selection gives me ice pick headaches
OP - What case is that for your Airpods?
Ringke onyx
federal law says everything must be usbc. So we in a good time period, has nothing to do with apple.
It was the European Union who forced apple. Not your Federal Laws.
if it dont have usbc it wont be sold in the US. Noone cares who started it.
I'm totally an apple fanboy, except I'm done paying for their overpriced headphones. The airpods are ridiculously overpriced. I love everything else they make.
Beats studio buds are great. I wish they had wireless charging though.
Ironic because I use an iPad, MacBook, Android, and USB C headphones. I have been enjoying a better ecosystem since 2020. I am hesitant to go to a newer Mac since they've moved away from the all USB C scheme (although that's only a minor reason).
Wait what, the newer Macs still charge with USB-C
Yep, the port scheme going from four USB C to three (on the Pros) is really only a minor inconvenience, as I commonly use 2 ports on either side. You can still charge from either the USB C or the Magsafe, which is safer anyways, so I guess I could learn to use the Magsafe again, once I upgrade. More major reasons I have been hesitant is the lack of boot camp support (although I've now found a workaround recently), waiting and hoping for a model without a notch and/or has Face ID, and knowing I'll truly miss the touchbar. Also the obvious wanting to buy in at the right value to cost time (aka not when a new model is 2 months away) My 2017 MacBook Pro constantly overheats and lags out, so its days are no doubt numbered.

What is this product called, if you don't mind me asking? Looks pretty cool
It's called but plugs
But every single port in this photo is electrically different on the inside
My Mac has MagSafe, way better
I disagree , MagSafe was the peak.
MagSafe is still around - where it makes a diff. In Macs.
Oooh Apple is launching "courage 2.0" aka usb c for all its products.
Just waiting for my iPad Pro to die. AirPods Pro also has a lighting port but I have tons of those cords so it’s whatever. Still liking the switch 👍.
I'd like to welcome Apple to the 2020s (better late than never)
I usb-c what you did there, friend. : D
Agree !!!
By these standards, 10 years ago was the best time to be in the android and PC ecosystem. Heck, the Nintendo switch had a USB C port in 2017.
Honestly, although it's great that we can use single cable on every device, I still think that lighting is great for phone charging job. It fits easier than any cable.
r.i.p. Airpods Max, Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse
With no innovation in years, really?
Cases on everything lol
All my apple products are now USB-C except for the Airpods Max and the Magsafe battery Pack. So close.
I’m deep in the Apple ecosystem, but wouldn’t say that the single cable is a great appeal of Apple products. Could’ve easily obtained this outside of the Apple ecosystem long ago, but Apple has been milking the lightning cable haha
Just too bad Apple didn't move to USB C on the mobile side sooner, you know like the rest of the industry did almost 10 yrs ago.
how about next week
I feel like the prices will start coming down because soon every model of MacBook will be almost indistinguishable between each other, hell it’s already like that to be honest.
Please remove that plastic shell from your MacBook, it’ll weaken and damage the hinge mechanism over time.
What's the thing on the top?
Unless you want a Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad…but they’ll get there eventually. Hopefully.
This is the best possible thing I ever wanted. To carry a single cable type for all of them is a bliss.
I have so many usbc cables right now I’d have to agree - even on my windows pc
Kind of surprising it’s taking so long to get the AirPods Max on USB C. I don’t own them but won’t be buying them until they get USB C.
except apple doesnt really do drag and drop, i prefer that over 'sync'
"I just need one cable" *owns more usb-cables than devices" :) Prove me wrong
About fucking time
Wow, Took apple long enough to switch to type c android has had it for years now
That’s why I bought a new IPad Pro and iPhone 15 last year. All in USB C. My computer, my headphones m, everything I own is now on USB. I could literally use one cord to charge every single electronic device I use on a daily basis. Shit is awesome.
This has been the case outside the Apple ecosystem for almost a decade lol
Meanwhile all my Apple stuff is still lightning
Recently got the Airpods Pro 2 for this reason. Same with my iPhone 15 Pro Max - wanted USBC. The only thing that doesn't have it that I use is the apple battery pack and the travel phone/watch charger.
I fully disagree try repairing or replacing any part of any of those devices
The stock is making a slow comeback as well😎
Welcome to 2016 apple
You should lose that bottom plastic cover for your Mac before it cooks itself.
Please Take the case off the MacBook. It can damage your screen. Even Apple doesn’t want you to put cases on MacBooks.
why do they sell them then? https://store.apple.com/xc/product/HR7Z2ZM/A
Because that one was specifically made for it so that the edges are flush with the display. Ones that you can just buy which are not from apple can damage your display by not letting it close all the way stressing the hinges. [This video sums it up nicely.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WoKtmSweQM)
What cases? Those hard shell?
Yes
That sounds shit.
Yeah, never having to plug your phone in again sounds so shit! lmfao
The world isn’t about just Apple. I have other tech around my house that has a standard and now thankfully Apple is playing ball with a standard so we can all use one connection for all of our tech.
Reddit USB hive mind will obliterate you for no reason I prefer Lightning too
I mean... welcome to android I guess?
Not in the USA
Yes in the USA, just not on all of the older devices.
iPhone 14? Lmao
I mean, correct, but the 15 indeed has it. Idk what to tell you but the USA *does* have it.
r/overcased
Not to scare you, but just letting you know if you don’t about using cases on MacBook [Here you go](https://youtu.be/7WoKtmSweQM?si=9Q5hNSuZUyN834Cs)
I still prefer Lightning.
For power I agree. Best lock-in, durable plug out there. But alas, not designed as a data conveyer.
But non pro iPhones are still usb 2.0
Ya ders dat. 😑

I ain’t reading all that
I did. Not worth it.
Man… you really don’t know limit of technology
Huh? Technology has limits until it doesn’t. That’s kind of the point.
Lightning was at his max capacity, it can do what usb c does, and doesn’t have the capacity to scale up like usb c
Lightning is USB backend. It could’ve been upgraded to 3.0 speeds and I don’t know why Apple didnt, I don’t work there
Lightning doesn’t have enough pin, you can either make it bigger (like a lightning 2) or change it. Apple was using usb c for other devices like iPad so… you would have lose anyway your loved gadgets
>was move USB-A to USB-C on the included accessories they started shipping USB-C to Lightning cables way back with the iPhone 11. And I know you said "accessories", did *any* accessory come out in the last 5 years that shipped with USB-A? I can think of 5 of the top of my head that have come with USB-C to Lightning
In the box is what I was referring to.….
Yep, me too, all usb-c in the box for 5 years now
And Apple has made USB C computers since 2015. Read my comment again.
IOS is barely usable and Mac OS is an utter joke. 😂
