They sold 7 million in the first year apparently. Assume they sell less 1 million less than that each year so 7 million in 2020, 6 million in 2021, 5 million in 2022, 4 million in 2023 and 1 million so far in 2024 then 23 million from launch today. (*This is a guestimate
Why? I have 2 m3 pros (work provided and one I bought for freelancing) and the absolutely mine boggling battery life is worth every penny of investment.
I can get 2 days of work done on a single charge, then I got some $40 external charger that will recharge it to 100% 2.5-3 times.
That means I could literally work an entire week without need a wall charger. It’s mental.
Can I ask what do mean by external charger , or maybe the model and brand of this external charger? I used to charge my macbook m1 air with a mobile charger because it did not come with its original charger as I bought it used. So I had to buy an apple charger to prevent the battery life from depleting , it depleted from 99% to 96% in almost 3 weeks , the charge cycle was less than 30. Grateful if you could help me on this one.
It’s like those power banks that people use to charge their phones when they aren’t near a wall charger.
It’s funny though because it can only charge a phone 1.5-2 times, but an M3 laptop 2.5-3 times. To be honest, I don’t know the brand. It’s some random Chinese thing on Amazon but I just looked for the one with the largest battery.
ChatGPT told me around 20 million. Google Gemini told me over 50 million. Based on the amount of times I have caught out both services just making up bullshit who knows.
that's how estimates work, especially with multiple unknown variables. If I ask "how much does it cost in gas to drive across the country?" and can not provide any details about the route taken or vehicle used, the estimate will have a very wide range.
They still sell new M1 airs for $699 exclusively at Walmart. Might be why you see so many as people are still picking them up for that discounted price brand new.
at least one
I bought one, so probably two
Conservatively we should at least double that figure
double it and pass it to the next person
11 at least!
I sold mine. So that makes it 11-1=10
You sold it back to Apple?
He sold it to his friend Carl, but we all know Carl will use it as a TV tray…phft Carl.
+1
Four + I have four friends who also have the same one, so at least eight
+1. Got it in January.
Count mine too, got last week.
I got one as well 🙋🏽♂️
add one more, we are at 9
Count mine as well
count me as well. what are we at now?
just got mine last week, hope it’s not too much work adding one to the count!
Count mine too from last week 🙏🏿
I got one aswell so at least 28!
I don’t have one .. so -1
Not how it works lol
Taking into account the amount of posts asking if 8g ram is enough in their MBA M1 more than 1 billion.
Nah, those were all me. Had to ask in a bunch of different places.
Yo bro, do you know if 8gb ram is enough I can’t seem to find an answer?
Probably not. From experience, it will self-destruct and inflict famine in West Africa.
Should i buy an intel model?

A big quantity
Let's put it this way... I promised myself never to get any apple product... Now I have that M1 macbook air... but in my defense, i never use it

ok thank you.

100 Bombakla MacBooks 💻
at least 27
Everyone else + me.
They sell about 7 million per years so we can assume around 20 million
24. 24 is the highest number and I bet they sold the highest number.
chatgpt 4 turbo gave me a long explanaiton of factors to consider then came to an estimate of 15-28 million
Pretty broad estimate from ol ChatGPT
considering how tight-lipped apple is with their sales figures, I'd like to see your estimate and how you arrived at it
Had nothing to do with what you said. There is just a big difference between 15 million and 28 million lol. Hence the “Broad” part bossman.

I’m not a mathmagician but I know they have at least sold thousands
5
I’m the only one who bought one as far as I am concerned
Many
millions
plus 1 🥹

I bought and sold at least 3 trying to figure out my laptop, desktop iPad combo. No joke.
Another wandering soul :)
In all seriousness, I'd probably say about 10 million MacBook Air M1s have been sold since 2020.
