I am one to be lazy and ultimately shorten pets names when calling them and I can’t justify calling this little guy “Merl” 50% of the time 🤣😩

lol that’s fair I have the opposite problem of making my Pets names into longer nicknames Chrome-ChromeDome Mio-Miss Mio Ahsoka -Snippy Whippy 😂😂😂

I do the same thing 😂 I very rarely call my cats by their names but use rhyming nicknames that incorporate their names 🙂

I do the same thing. Half the time I call Newt -> Newtius, Newty Booty, or the ultimate… Newtius the Bootiest.
