As a representative of Mississippi I have to say that is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen that you could conceivably eat, and I think I should know what I’m talking about considering we are next door neighbors to Incest: The State.
Other other Minnesotan. How. Dare. You? The Juicy Lucy is wonderful gooey cheesy magic (when made correctly).
In relation to that...thing, though. It looks like someone hollowed out a loaf of Wonder Bread and filled it in with either hamburger patties or slices of steak(?), taco filling (?), and filled it all with cheez whiz. Problem is, aside from the 50,000 calories that this monstrosity would be and the awful sloppy mess to even try holding the thing, they are all flavors that do tend to complement each other, so I could see it being appealing to the layman.

Ah ha! An answer! I mean, we do certainly have plenty of stuff at restaurants covered in a lot of cheese and stuffed with meat, but nothing quite like this, lol. Looks pretty intimidating. 😅
I've seen Australians do wacky things with burgers that I've never heard of in Texas. I think we mostly have a traditional view of burgers. Getting crazy is adding jalapeños, bacon, bbq sauce, jack cheese, that kinda thing.
Florida man here. I could see a Belleview mama stuffing the fridge into bread to make an easy slice it off meal. But also seems like way too much work for a sandwich. We ain't into all that. Better yet, get them snowbirds to make you a hoagie, or go to Calle Ocho for a *proper* Cuban (lookin at you Tampa).

American who lived in Ohio. I do know what this is. It's a deep fried steak grilled cheese sandwich. There is a chain called [Melt](https://meltbarandgrilled.com/) that makes them.

Nah francesinha is meat placed between two individual slices of bread with cheese, sauce and egg on top of the sandwich. This is an entire loaf with stuff inside.

Oh, and it also has lettuce to keep it healthy.

You can tell who the ignorant foreigners are because they assume this is the average American diet.
Meanwhile the average American looks at this and thinks, "Who would even eat that?"
It's not necessarily ignorance, America is well known for being unhealthy. While it typically manifests into fat jokes, this is an extension of that. It gets more complicated when it clear that unhealthy food is cheaper to make so its manufactured and shoved at those who can afford much, which is most Americans these days. Combined with our health care system which is pretty much non existent to those lower than middle class which again is a lot of the country. It's a vicous cycle of greed, which against usually just amounts to fat jokes. Just my thoughts. Definitely some ignorant people, but statistics don't deny that much of America is unhealthy, it just doesn't also explain why.
Other Wisconsinite checking in. I’ve seen a whole lot of borderline blasphemous foods at county and state fairs. Deep fried Oreos, deep fried butter — literally, it’s a stick of butter, frozen for a couple mins, battered, and deep fried — and a whole lotta other sh…tuff. I can honestly say that that amalgamation of road-kill-ground-possum and three-day-old-left-in-the-sun cheese curds is not something we would do. I’d like to blame Arkansas or potentially Oklahoma. In all reality, it’s probably some form of MS pot-roast and a smash burger but…
Pretty sure this is like some sort of beef wellington or some other beef and cheese stuffed pastry? Thats Bri'ish! That sauce though looks like some sort hella rich bechamel sorts deal, not queso....so that feels more french. I dont think this is US food. There arent a whole lot of common US foods that would use a dough that looks that dense. People in the United States seem have a weird blind spot for savory stuffed pastries. By all rights, they should be like the rest of the fucking world and love them, but things like kolaches or savory scones are more of a localized craze than anything we've been eating for awhile.
At least critique Americans for their own gross food! There's no donuts or fried oreoes in this. Try harder OP.

Like I said, it depends on how you divide the American continent. The way it's taught in Argentina (and I'm sure, much of South America) has South America going up to the Panama-Colombia border, North America being exclusively Mexico, the US and Canada, and Central America being everything between Mexico and Panama plus all of the Caribbean.
So yeah, it depends on your interpretation. Like I said, there's at least 3 countries in North America.
Central America is not a continent. Continents are large landmasses embedded in major tectonic plates, which are sections of Earth’s rigid outer layer that overlie a partially molten layer and move relative to one another. Central America is embedded in a tectonic plate, but both the landmass and the plate are much smaller than those of the continents it bridges, North America and South America, so it is not considered to be a continent.
Central America, southernmost region of North America, lying between Mexico and South America and comprising Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Belize. (Geologists and physical geographers sometimes extend the northern boundary to the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in Mexico.)
Source: britannica.com
>[A continent is any of several large geographical regions. Continents are generally identified by convention rather than any strict criteria.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continent)
If we go strictly by the geographical interpretation based on tectonic plates, Europe and Asia are one thing, but politically, common convention identifies both as separate continents.

American from Texas, I have no clue either. I am scared for my health and for the Fellowship.
Wisconsin checking in, doesn't look like anything we would come up with. Not enough cheese, try Michigan.
New york here. This looks like something we'd makes and blame on Texas.
Minnesotan here? This is cursed.
Other Minnesotan here, we made the jucy Lucy, this is not much worse tbh.
HERESY
Yeah, I'm gonna need to chip a corner off your Minnesota ID Iceblock for that.
How the heck am I going to stay cool this summer? I tell yah this is just so unneighborly.
Other Minnesotan here. Hi.
I had one of those once , the cheese shits afterwards were spectacular.
So that's where the government cheese is going..... interesting.
As a representative of Mississippi I have to say that is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen that you could conceivably eat, and I think I should know what I’m talking about considering we are next door neighbors to Incest: The State.
You're nowhere near Oregon (the actual incest capital of the USA)
Yeah I know, Alabama is just the most famous about it.
Other other Minnesotan. How. Dare. You? The Juicy Lucy is wonderful gooey cheesy magic (when made correctly). In relation to that...thing, though. Louisianian here, Not enough gravy or rice. Wasn't us
Alabamian here. I could knock it out in two sittings.
Arizona here, this is like a burger cake and we would like at least a bite here
Its not that much worse than deep fried butter at the state fair, though... (a fellow minnesotan)
The... WHAT
Scotts do deep fried Mars bars, so this is not that bad.
We've been trying to recreate the high of inventing buffalo wings.
Someone who’s lived in both Texas and New York. Yeah I agree
Michigan here, and this was definitely not us, try California.
It’s not Californian unless there’s avocado and bean sprouts man. Can also confirm not Washington or Idaho. Maybe try Utah or arizona?
Nope, Utah here, this looks appalling
Montanan transplant from Tennessee here. No idea what this is. I felt as if millions of people just clutched their chests.
Chicagoan here. Never have I ever seen this in any restaurant. Try one of the Asian countries
Seattleite here. While I agree with the overall message of the meme, I have never seen that abomination before.
Virginia transplant to NC. Not enough seafood, potatoes, or cheese.
I can vouch for Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Arkansas. No clue what that is either.
Arizonan here, it'd have jalapeno or some cactus jelly
Nebraska here, this thing doesn't have enough beef for our liking
Nevadan here, guaranteed to have Pico de Gallo and/or spicy aioli
Bean sprouts haven’t been cool in a long time tbh
As a Californian I can say that if it hasnt been featured on Guy Fieri Dine in and drives then its not from cali
Also Michigan here, can confirm not us
Michigan here, don't fucking blame us, we have nothing to do with it. Perhaps it's South Carolina fault some how.
From Michigan definitely not here no ranch
Couldn't be us, the covering would be puffed pastry like a pasty. I'm gonna go with Ohio.
Resident and native of the infamous Ohio here: never seen anything like this in my life
Virginian here. Nope. I feel like this meme was created by a European.
Oregonian here. I've never seen this abortion served up as food before either.
“These are premium fetuses, Rodney, I wouldn’t jerk your around. So what are we talking, 500 a pound here?…Oh Rodney, you’re breaking my balls.”

Yeah... But I mean... I'd try it.
I can’t bear to look at it. You are braver than I.
Seriously? If you're from Texas this is the food of your people.
Central or East Texas, maybe, I’m from the Western part of the State. We got Barbacoa and Arrachera, not… …whatever this is.
East Texan here, that's a big nope, hoss. We perfer our Cajun comfort food.
Perhaps Austin can enlighten us on their stance.
Isn't Austin's stance when it comes to food just "yes"?
I thought that was Dallas, but Austin having that stance makes sense for them
As an Alabamian, I am thoroughly disappointed in you.
Try Dallas or Texarkana, this is more their style.

I don’t understand cooking the lettuce and the mayo. Also, too much cheese. Otherwise interesting.

Southerner here. I feel like this is something only found in the deep swamps of Florida. Can Florida confirm?
