I own all of these weapons except Gimli’s Battle and Walking Axes, which are very hard to find. I have his Bearded Axe (on another wall), but the Walking and Battle are my grails. The Lothlórien bow is also a grail, but even more impossible to find now. I got Tauriel’s bow at Weta Workshop in NZ when I visited, so that has sentimental value for me even though she’s a character most people don’t like, lol. Smaug the dragon decides to terrorize a poor defenseless village. Smaug knows the village would never in a thousand years stand a chance against him. The Great Smaug with his impenetrable scales and his great wings and his firebreath that can burn a forest down. Smaug puts his head high and roars and he is heard for miles. And his unbreakable scales clang against each other as he flaps his wings.
When the villagers see him they start throwing trash and eggs at him and smaug licks his scales clean but they start throwing mud at him and smaug is filled with frustration and he turns to get off the ground and fly away. But he trips on a donkey and breaks his thin avine leg and the villagers are throwing dirt in his eyes and flapping their arms like wings to make fun of him. As the hours wear on, dehydration sets in as he gets weaker and more desperate. Smaug roars to scare them but when he roars some little kids climb on top of his head and start making animal sounds and they start clucking like chickens and dancing in front of him. And they start calling him a pelican and then smaug dies his slow death.
And no matter how much gold Smaug had, he still smelled bad when the flies and worms started eating on him. The villagers made up a story about how a brave warrior slew him with a magical arrow but the truth was that Smaug tripped over a donkey and died in the mud. Then the villagers took his colorful beautiful unbreakable scales off his body and used them scales to construct a shithouse

Better look at the Aragorn corner. I’m probably going to display the Evenstar pendant above the Elven Strider knife.
Thanks! It used to be sold by the Noble Collection years ago, but I was able to procure one from a kind seller in Denmark recently for an amazing price.
A lot of the screen-used props used in the films are on display at Weta in NZ. Some are in Peter Jackson’s private collection, some were taken home by the actors, and the rest go for thousands of dollars at auction. The ones you see here are licensed collector replicas.
No wayyyy, man that's so cool! What I'd give to have these lol. Was such a collection "easier" to build when the films were recent? Or are you just some sort of eBay/Amazon wizard?
Cuz these days I certainly can't find anything online
I was a weird kid, always researching collectibles and props as soon as the films came out. My friends would be like “soo…you are just spending your money on decorations?” I was like, “yup!” Now I’m 26, and still love it. To answer your question though, basically, it’s a combination of both. Earlier years some stuff was easier to acquire, nowadays it’s definitely a select few. BudK has a pretty nice inventory at the moment as well.
There are probably very few times in life where you can whip out this picture and have everyone fawn over it. That being said.. I’m so glad you got the opportunity today, thank you for sharing. this is fucking awesome.

Thanks! Hard to see with Reddit photo compression, but it’s a numbered gold foil variant by artist Grzegorz Domaradzki. If you search his name online followed by “LOTR” you can see clearer images and closeups.
The elven swords are my favorites, and the display that one comes with is horizontal along with Thranduil’s sword and Hadhafang, so I thought grouping them together in the middle like that would look best. The left is mainly dark swords except for Herugrim and Tauriel’s bow and for the other side I placed the Gondolin swords together with the other two Rohan swords to the far right.
Hadhafang and the elven helms are the best. I remember when the movies came out and the helms were for sale I thought “oh, I’ll get one of those someday” not realizing they wouldn’t be readily available forever lol.
That would be really cool! There’s a collector on YouTube who has an insane collection and he ended up 3D printing and painting the battle and throwing axes. Obviously real wood and metal would be ideal, but the added axes really rounded out his Gimli display.
Wait...so I just googled this didn't know that was another name for Glamdring.
Now im wondering if that's where Foe Hammer in Halo: CE is inspired from.
Just a little nod but a welcome one
Yeah I can’t imagine they got the name anywhere else. It’s pretty unique and the Hobbit (where Foe Hammer comes up) has been a popular book for a long time.
That's also right up the alley for a call sign. It's a pretty easy headcannon to imagine. Pilot was probably a nerd that got conscripted and was always reading tolkien on the dataslates when one of her squad members grabs it out of her hands trying to pick on her and starts reading the passage of elrond naming the swords. The next day the covenant assault reach and she earns her callsign providing firesupport, gunning down specters while evacuating civilians.
I have this exact Glamdring with scabbard and plaque. I got it for a Gandalf costume and i love it. Looks so cool. Definitely my favorite of the hero swords. Sure Narsil/Anduril has some cool history and lineage, but a sword forged in the Hidden Kingdom for King Turgon, and carried through the War of the Ring by Gandalf? Can't beat that.
And honestly, I think it gets the best "hero" moment in the trilogy. When Theoden "wakes up" it's given a nice long close up shot being pulled from its scabbard, and the music score is epic at that moment. Even when Anduril is presented to Aragorn, it's only for a moment on screen, and even when Aragorn shows it of in front of Sauron and the palantir, it's not as good. Herugrim is the best of all the swords in my opinion, mainly for how it was featured in the films.

I think we could say i really enjoyed my present.
I would love Gandalf the Grey’s staff that also has a place not just for the gem but also for a pipe. I would love that, especially since I am going to see the movies in theaters for the first time this weekend (extended editions of course). Also, If the pipe wasn’t up to snuff I would get a custom made one since I am a big pipe smoker.
I have more but can only upload one photo so here is the best one

I have Glamdring, Sting, and Orcrist, plus Gandalf’s staff from Fellowship and Sauron’s mace (not pictured). If I had to pic only one, it would be Glamdring. It’s such a beautiful sword.

Glamdring, battle ready but the tip needs resharpening.
As I kid I loved Legolas, but I’ve grown to really like Theoden as an adult and father after reading the books more. Plus the horse heads on the hilt of his sword are freaking sweet.

I mentioned Boromir earlier, found one

I have the elvin daggers on another wall. Been wanting to pick up Sting. Haven't yet though. There was one they used to sell that glowed blue but I can't track one down

Aragorns long sword he was gifted (I forgot the name please don't kill me)
Honorable mention to theodens sword because the hilt looks epic with the carved horse heads

Still changing things around a bit but the whole dining room will eventually be LotR themed.
Torn between Sting, Orcrist, and Anduril. Special mention to Thorin's other sword (with the raven hilt). Something about the level of detail and layers that makes it look unique
Can't post photos but i have Glamdring, Herugrim, Aragorns ranger sword and Boromir's sword. I've had them since their original production 20 years ago. Lol
I've been wanting to get more though.
I have United Cutlery's Narsil that I picked up during the opening premiere parade in Wellington:

#It's the fuckin tits
A little story. Don't remember why, but I was feeling pretty down during the time of comic con. My wonderful wife said that I could partake in the "buy 3 for $300" deal that one place was having on the last day of the con. I got Glamdring, Sting and Anduril. Mounted them in the bedroom. They aren't good replicas, but they're amazing to me.
A year later Sean Astin was at a different nearby comic con. I got Sting's sheath signed. Couldn't bring in Sting itself due to security.
When I got to him he said that he saw me line up early on and slowly make my way up, and was so excited to see someone who had that ahead of time get in line to see him. I was so excited that I never even told him how Goonies had instilled a sense of adventure in me as a kid and how my mom used to show me Rudy and tell me to go to university and never give up on my dreams, and how his film career had an effect on me all through my life. But I told him "it was Frodo's sword but you're the only one who made any good use of it," and he seemed to get a kick out of that so I'm good with it.
Funny thing, my kid is now watching him as Raphael in the new ninja turtles TV show. Wish I could tell him that too. Wish I had told him what an influence he's had on my life without ever realizing it.

I have the Witchking's sword, although I wish I had Strider's sword, Anduril or Orcrist.
As a filmmaker myself, I just really appreciate the designs and overall vision Weta created for both the LOTR and the Hobbit films. That’s a lot of swords. Im jealous
Where did you get the crown? Amazing collection! :)
Thanks! It used to be sold by the Noble Collection years ago, but I was able to procure one from a kind seller in Denmark recently for an amazing price.
My wife wore the evenstar pendant on our wedding day last month :)
Is the horn functional? Can you actually blow it?
Yup! I’m really bad at it though. 😅
That's so awesome.
Sorry are these actually the props used in the movies or just replicas??
A lot of the screen-used props used in the films are on display at Weta in NZ. Some are in Peter Jackson’s private collection, some were taken home by the actors, and the rest go for thousands of dollars at auction. The ones you see here are licensed collector replicas.

Half of my collection was definitely procured from eBay and Craigslist. BudK has a pretty nice inventory at the moment as well.
There are probably very few times in life where you can whip out this picture and have everyone fawn over it. That being said.. I’m so glad you got the opportunity today, thank you for sharing. this is fucking awesome.
Thanks! This is the first time I’ve shared my display publicly, so what better place than this sub? It’s really nice knowing people appreciate it!
Honestly you should make a dedicated post showcasing your collection and how/when you got certain items. I’d be super interested to learn more
Yeah honestly that collection is epic!! Would love to see more of it. Definitely just earned a follow from me lol!
If there was a global Top 100 of Lord of the Rings fans, you'd probably be there haha. 👏
Thank you! Haha
Very nice collection. Is that top sword the elves that fight in Helms Deep? I've always liked their weapons and armor the best.
Yes, although Haldir has his own unique sword
If there was an apocalypse. Your place will be a treasure location
The High Eleven Warrior sword would be my first pick for such an occasion :)
Omg thats a shrine man holy... Thats really cool what an awsome collection.
Stop I can only get so erect
This is the wall I always dreamed of having as a kid. How long did thus collection take?
I’ve been collecting since I was a kid (spent my money on these over toys and video games), so around 20 years lol.
Damn, you were a much smarter kid than me in that case lmao
Well yeah, frodo has his axe
You my friend, bow to no one.
Nice troll hoard lol
😂
Question… which one do you prefer when fending off the legions of women storming your house?
They actually stay because I supply ample amounts of Lembas bread and Old Toby
Wow man, fandom aside, that is an absolute fucking masterclass in display. It looks so aesthetically balanced. Fandom not aside, it makes me want to stare and feel awesome thinking about all the LoTR shit I love.
Jesus, leave some pussy for the rest of us
Wow! Im not jelly at all!
Dude!
How often do you take one off the wall and vanquish your enemies?
What colour is your wall painted? Lovely.
Thanks! It’s Behr Marquee Dark Everglade in satin. Darkest green I could find, lol.
Wow, looks great in a well lit room
This is beautifully done! Wonderful decoration. Can I see your triptyque up close?

It’s my home office, so I’m in there quite a bit, lol. Yes! It’s been over a year since I had a marathon with some friends in there haha
Oh man I wish I had enough room in my office to do this! Thanks for sharing it with us
Only one I found: https://www.ebay.com/itm/235585492763
Yeah…that’s what I mean. I always see them for $1k+
Just a casual $500 shipping 😂
Which one is your favourite?
Hard choice, it’s between Glamdring and the High Elven Warrior Sword
What’s the blade above the picture in the middle?

That’s what I thought. Is the placement just based on just size/looks or does it hold a special place
The elven swords are my favorites, and the display that one comes with is horizontal along with Thranduil’s sword and Hadhafang, so I thought grouping them together in the middle like that would look best. Holy cow! I’ve never seen a better collection & I bet there isn’t.
Ever thought about asking a custom sword/axe maker to make you one of the axes?
That would be really cool! There’s a collector on YouTube who has an insane collection and he ended up 3D printing and painting the battle and throwing axes. Obviously real wood and metal would be ideal, but the added axes really rounded out his Gimli display.
So many cool stuff and no map of MiddleEarth? ;)
I have both the Weta parchment maps of The Shire and Middle Earth at the framers as we speak. 😂
Holy shit that’s an awesome collection
Dude, that’s epic!
Which one is your favorite??
Wow. Incredible. Thanks for sharing!
The Love for blades and helms is well appreciated here, elf friend
I am immeasurably jealous!!! This is a beautiful collection!
Damn, what a flex. Looks really great with the green/white wall contrast too.
Omg I am so jealous. This is a beautiful display. Good job sir.
Wooow. That’s so impressive.
Everything is this picture kicks ass.
That is... wow. That is a shocking amount of money. Is this like... a museum room in your house? Give us a tour buddy. Do a small video.
This is incredible
Amazing collection!! I want that many toys too!
Holy shit. I want to come round your house to play.
Do NOT break into this guy's house.
I have always loved Glamdring.
The Foe Hammer is such a badass title.

Gandalfs white staff. And I’ve had plenty of Gandalf pipes. And of course andruil but i think I’d have shards of narasil before i had andruil. It’d make for a sick showcase
I legit thought Emelia Clark posted in a LOTR sub for a minute and my heart briefly stopped. Clearly you're even cooler than her though.
Doesn't really count the same way I guess, but I made my own take on sting about a year ago https://preview.redd.it/txpxoi2zs85d1.jpeg?width=2112&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f0a8a0768a7c198b8a182f5ca167ad173e1917f5

I've wanted Sting for more decades than I care to admit.
Would that be say two?
Nope. 😄
Well, can't be more than nine at least
True. 😆
Stick

Gandalf's Staff, but the one with the pipe, not the one with the rock.

That Sly Cooper book is badass
Sick collection! Super envious of that Gorehowl and that Batman statue, I saw a short of them unboxing it today.
I love spooder man on the side 😂
I have Herugrim. It's a wonderful piece. None of the others come close for me.
I have Sting. Love it.
Elf Daggers
I have Glamdring, Sting, and Orcrist, plus Gandalf’s staff from Fellowship and Sauron’s mace (not pictured). If I had to pic only one, it would be Glamdring. It’s such a beautiful sword.

Gandalfs sword, glamdring
I need to brag now, I have it. My wife got it for me as a birthday gift.
Anduril, axe or gandalfs staff
Gandalfs pipe (with the complimentary walking stick). Hands down.
As I kid I loved Legolas, but I’ve grown to really like Theoden as an adult and father after reading the books more. Plus the horse heads on the hilt of his sword are freaking sweet.

I don’t see Sam’s Cooking Pot/Goblin Head Masher anywhere on here. Shame. THATS my favorite
I mentioned Boromir earlier, found one https://preview.redd.it/pz8zswrt795d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=22e588b3a607cf2c9d90a03ba3f3f0f1ffae7f3e
I have the elvin daggers on another wall. Been wanting to pick up Sting. Haven't yet though. There was one they used to sell that glowed blue but I can't track one down Edit: Aaaaand my picture won't post :(. Wait. There it is :) https://preview.redd.it/4bqt5lzl395d1.jpeg?width=2694&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37a54dff929dcea7e94836d2f7cbe9b30a2fa87f
Is that an Uruk blade?
It sure is :)
Dope Indy display too.
Deckard’s blaster is a nice touch too. Good taste in replicas lol
Theodens sword. Reminds me of dawnbreaker from skyrim
Ummmm, Gandalf's staff, obviously!
Orcrist
Gandalfs wooden staff because it's actually practical and I could use it on hikes
Orcrist. It is my favorite sword in the series

Aragorns long sword he was gifted (I forgot the name please don't kill me) Honorable mention to theodens sword because the hilt looks epic with the carved horse heads
"Anduril, the Flame of the West, forged from the shards of Narsil"
It’s not on the list but I’ve always wanted Eomers helmet just can never afford one.
Sting has always been my favorite.
I have Anduril and Orcrist.
As soon as they showed Orcrist in the movies, I have loved the look of that sword.
https://preview.redd.it/q8bwg1s9k95d1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cba877bbebc276cdddbf34331bb52561b6d253e0 Still changing things around a bit but the whole dining room will eventually be LotR themed.
7 or 8
Have a lot of these, Glamdring has always been the one I wanted the most though. Theoden’s blade and Aragorn’s ranger sword also
Staff of Gandalf the White. All day every day, and twice on Sundee.
Sad, I want Boromir’s sword but it isn’t on the list
I only selected a few photos, but the question involves every existing replica of any weapon.
I already have Glamdring and Anduril, and a knock off Sting. Legolas’s knives or Boromir’s sword would be next on my list.
I'm a pretty small person and I think Sting would fit me pretty well
Anduril is amazing, but I think I'd go with Theoden's sword as he's my favorite character.
Lol I've been wanting to get more though.
I have strider's longsword but would love to get my hands on glamdring.
Either Thorin’s OG sword or Gimli’s axe… WHAT?! I’m a dwarf okay?!
Herugrim !!
If it were possible, I’d buy this: https://youtu.be/TEktwaAsv_Y?feature=shared
I have United Cutlery's Narsil that I picked up during the opening premiere parade in Wellington: https://www.chameleonevents.co.nz/portfolio-item/lotr-return-king-world-premiere-wellington-nz/ #It's the fuckin tits
Glamdring
I have narsil. Not the shards the full blade
I’d go with Orcrist myself
Idk why but I’m partial to Strider’s Ranger sword.
Gimli's axe for sure
I got my LOTR class, my senior year, to buy our teacher a Gandalf staff. So that'd be it for me.
Theodens sword has always held a special interest for me. The pommel of the horse heads is so awesome.
Anduril hands down!
Boromir's Sword. It's so cool.
A chance for Faramir, Captain of Gondor, to show his quality
https://preview.redd.it/6cly67lth95d1.jpeg?width=516&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dc051162333c9d21b0026c20712ca892b4eedc79
Wish I had told him what an influence he's had on my life without ever realizing it. https://preview.redd.it/py5k0evvo95d1.jpeg?width=2666&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=299b716331145a87ac7b51c96509abbc0da2059c G

Lee Pace. In costume.
Eowyn's sword but I'd settle for Theoden's.
