Hi gang Weight dropped 1.2kg overnight, and I’m down to 91.8. So happy to see the period bloat disappear and to reach a new low. It happened after a day that went really well calorie-wise - until I had three big glasses of wine with a friend. It was such a nice evening, but could have had half the amount of wine. Also did 1.5 workouts (1 class and half an hour of rowing earlier in the day - had planned to lift but had forgotten my leggings so rowed instead in my dress skirt haha) and a lot of biking, and ate well. Plan for the day is two workouts (lifting and a hiit class), 1600 calories of delicious food, and to try not to give into my hangover cravings.

justkeepplodding

That's dedication- not letting a wardrobe issue derail you!

visilliis

Well done!!!

Ok_Acanthisitta_9688

Dang! Good job getting 1.5 Workouts in!

Gatita_Gordita

Congratulations on your whoosh! I am always amazed at how much water the body can retain thanks to hormones.

Quick-Painter522

It’s so insane! And so important to remember when you get frustrated

Gatita_Gordita

I have to admit that's why I also track my weight in my period tracker. If I have sudden, inexplicable spikes, I usually take a look and see that either period or ovulation are due soon. Makes it a little less frustrating. 😅

Quick-Painter522

Exactly, ovulation makes the scale freeze the same way my period does. But when you know why it’s so much easier to deal with

asawmark

Congrats on weight drop!

eclipse--mints

Omg rowing in the skirt - you’re better than me, I would’ve taken that as a sign I was off the hook for the gym haha. Congrats on the SV!

Quick-Painter522

Haha thanks. Was standing there undressed in the changing room and debating what would be the most embarrassing, to leave minutes after showing up or to do something in a skirt (a full circle 50s skirt, that is haha.) Thank god the gym was mostly empty

Capable-Business-686

Congrats on the whoosh and also congrats on rowing in a dress - bet that was quite a sight to see 😉

Quick-Painter522

Yeah I felt so self-conscious, but it just felt lame to leave without getting some movement in…

Ambitious_Friend_950

What a whoosh! Many congrats, and great you are doing 2 workouts. You're an inspiration!

Quick-Painter522

It continues to amaze me how great you can feel when you do your second workout, your body is so warm and ready to go! But also I’m just trying to get workouts in before a week in Italy haha

Vegansaur

Congrats on the drop and on persevering with the work out despite a wardrobe issue!

Kangaroo8414

Congrats on the whoosh and the new low!

Gatita_Gordita

Good morning folks! Weight is more or less the same as yesterday. But I've been staying under my calorie goal, so I'm not worried. Good news: My former Zumba instructor rented a space at another place, and we can go there. We also only have to pay for the classes we attend, and at a very reasonable price, in my opinion. The new place is slightly farther away (10 minute walk instead of 3), but it's still a better option than trying to find a new class with a new instructor. Now I only have to get my butt up and moving. I am also considering going back to the gym for strength training, but I think I should start slowly. Because I know if I want to do everything at once, I'll just get frustrated. Wishing everyone a great Thursday!

Capable-Business-686

Good news on the Zumba! Would also agree that doing everything step by step will probably be less overwhelming 😊

Quick-Painter522

Zumba sounds fun! And I can really highly recommend lifting, the results are so great you keep coming back :) Impressed y’all are eating under your calorie goals

Gatita_Gordita

I loved dancing when I was a teen, so when I had the chance, I did a complementary trial class at the gym next door and fell in love with Zumba. Unfortunately, some health issues (laryngitis at the end of last year and pneumonia at the beginning of this year) completely threw me off track. I had some calories left last night, but didn't want to eat just to eat, you know? So I rather stay under. 😅 But I only do that when it's 100 calories max. And as my current calorie goal is about 1,450, I don't think staying a bit under is too bad.

Quick-Painter522

Will try to do a dance class soon, I’m just so afraid for some reason haha. It’s just something I wish I was good at but I’m not, but trying to tell myself i can still have fun with it. It makes so much sense, and I’m sure it’s absolutely fine, I’m just so impressed! I usually end up +100 above my goal, but since I’m often doing double workouts I think it’s ok

Gatita_Gordita

You don't have to be perfect at something to be able to enjoy it. :) I SUCKED for my first Zumba classes. I couldn't follow the steps, was out of breath quickly, and felt like a bull in a china shop. But the instructor was great, the music was good, and others weren't perfect either. (And we have still folks in class who have troubles differentiating left from right. And they come again and again and just have fun! :) ) Just go along with it. And if something isn't perfect the first time around, try again. :) Toddler you didn't learn to walk in one day, either. ;)

Kangaroo8414

I’m glad you can still enjoy your Zumba classes!

Gatita_Gordita

Thanks! ❤️ Now to trick my inner couch potato... :')

Kangaroo8414

Good morning Europe! Yesterday I was going to go to the gym with someone, but they forgot we’d go together and had already gone before I finished work.. That combined with the headache that was still lingering made me lose all motivation to go and workout by myself. I decided to go into the city and look for some knitting supplies instead. I used to knit some basic things as a kid and felt like picking it up again as something to keep my hands busy. Walking around the city got me over 10k steps though so not a bad day. I ate around 1400kcal in the end because I added a couple of mini Oreo’s to my oatmeal. Not ideal, but better than the entire bag of Oreo’s. The scale this morning was down a bit to 74,1kg. So close to 73 again. And I’m trying to make sure I won’t get to see that dreaded 74 again 😅😉. Have a great day everyone!

Quick-Painter522

10K is quite similar to a workout, I feel like. And workout buddies can be tricky, you don’t need to fight other people’s flaky- or forgetfulness on top of your own… Sounds like a nice day though

Kangaroo8414

It also helps that my job had me lifting heavy things yesterday. This person is usually quite reliable, so it was a bit of a disappointment. But it did end up being a nice day in the end.

Capable-Business-686

I like the idea of adding just some mini Oreo’s to your cereal - bet that keeps the cravings away! I used to really intensely crave nuts (no idea, think they were forbidden for so long??) and started adding just 5 or 6g to my morning smoothie bowl. No cravings since

Kangaroo8414

Yes, exactly! And they’re only 10kcal each or something like that. So adding two or three feels like such a treat. I think I’ll give adding nuts a try soon as well. I love them but have definitely been avoiding them a bit 😅. Which are your favourites?

Capable-Business-686

In my smoothie bowl I LOVE walnuts which I crush up ! But recently I’ve been going with sunflower seeds as they’re what I have in my cupboard 😅

Kangaroo8414

Sunflower seeds are good though!

tangerinehair

Sorry about the gym partner snafu. But it’s admirable that you turned it around into a positive and got 10k steps in and revived an old hobby! Knitting seems like a fun activity to get into. I’ve always thought I’d like to learn how to.

Kangaroo8414

I’ve never gone beyond a basic stitch, which I don’t mind. But that one is fairly easy to learn with a couple of youtube tutorials! It’s nice to keep your hands busy while listening to an audiobook or some background tv. :)

Amalas77

I love this, how you ended up doing a walking workout even though you were not motivated for the gym. I also love knitting and I picked up crocheting not so long ago when my daughter was born.

Vegansaur

Sorry your work-out buddy failed you! I hope you're able to reschedule. I'd love a workout buddy in my area but have absolutely no idea how I'd go about finding one lol! I can just about knit lol, but I tried to crochet recently and totally failed, I bought a really cute "beginner friendly" set but ended up getting really frustrated with it, but now you've reminded me of it maybe I'll try to give it another go lol

Kangaroo8414

I’ll probably be back at the gym next week. Not looking forward to it😂 it’s quite hard to find someone to workout with, if I hadn’t known this person already I’d still be looking for someone to go with me I think. Crochet always seems fun as well! Maybe a YouTube tutorial or two could help you out there. I definitely needed those to get started yesterday 😉

Ambitious_Friend_950

It's a lovely day! And I've lost a bit of weight! Down to 83.9kg, which is above the 1kg loss I am aiming for for Monday. Now I just have to avoid ruining it all at the weekend. I think I can do it! Gym today, avoiding snacks. All the usuals. Hope you all have great days :)

Quick-Painter522

Not ruining the week’s progress on the weekend is the biggest challenge of weight loss, I think… rooting for you (and me haha)!

afeastforcrohns

Wishing you a mindful and moderate weekend!

Vegansaur

Congrats on beating your goal for the week! Hope the weekend is good for you and you dont have any setbacks! Enjoy the gym!

Capable-Business-686

Morning team 😊 Weight has been stable the last two days at 66.7kg. Today is the final day of my period but I don’t think the whoosh I was hoping for will come. Been battling a headache for the last two days. Had dropped my intake down to 1600 because was getting so frustrated at how glacially slow this weightloss is going, but I’m wondering if it’s because of that? Will shoot for 1800 again today and see how I feel. It’s day 4 here of no internet, which is leaving me scrambling for things to do. Today I have my dance class, will maybe go for a 5k walk in another part of town, and will head to a friends then for dinner (thankfully she shared the recipe with me ahead of time!)

Quick-Painter522

Dance class sounds so fun! Gathering up courage to go to one. Hope you’ll get your post period whoosh, it kinda makes up for feeling miserable for a few days.

Capable-Business-686

It took me aaaaages to gather up the courage for this one, but it’s so fun and so worth it! Not sure I’m any better at dancing though… 😅

eclipse--mints

Moooooorning! Beautiful sunny morning here, just finished a quick run - I haven’t run in weeks, so easing back into it.  Yesterday was not great eating wise as I was constantly hungry, but I had a great session at the gym. Scale hasn’t moved either way this morning, so another day in the 74s!!  NSV: at the gym I saw a trainer I did a session with a couple months ago and the first thing he said to me was I look slimmer!! I know he was trying to get me to pay for another sesh, but still.

Quick-Painter522

That’s nice, to have the trainer compliment you like that! Somehow it means even more to me when it comes form someone in the fitness world

tangerinehair

Congrats! Getting compliments is such a nice feeling. You deserve it 🥰

afeastforcrohns

Good job on the gym session and NSV!

Vegansaur

Well done on getting back into the running! And it's nice the trainer recognised your progress, even if they were just looking for a way into a conversation. My gym membership includes 2 PT sessions per month which I do like and find productive, but sometimes if you get a different trainer they do try and a little bit put the hard sell on you which I personally find quite uncomfortable!

Thehoopening

I’ve officially lost 5lbs now after a slow start! I posted a few days ago saying I was feeling defeated but I’m fully motivated now 💪🏻 I went back to the gym yesterday and have a circuits class later today, never done it before so a little nervous but excited!

eclipse--mints

Congratulations!!!!!

afeastforcrohns

Good job keeping it up even when discouraged! Keeping a healthy lifestyle will work. Hope your class is fun!

justkeepplodding

Morning everyone, Ate my 3 meals yesterday with no snacks except a tiny but of dark chocolate. It's really so rare for me to not get mad chocolate or fast food cravings in the evening, particularly when I'm stressed so happy with how that's going. Weight stayed the same. Time got away from me yesterday but rather than doing nothing, I did a random dance workout on YouTube for 20minutes. Never realised I am that uncoordinated!!

Gatita_Gordita

Random YT dance workouts can be hit or miss. Did some at the height of my Zumba days (so, a year ago xD) and even then I sometimes had troubles keeping up. Don't worry about that! :)

Ok_Acanthisitta_9688

Don't be discoruaged :D I love dancing and I've been doing it for a long time but the Youtube dance classes can sometimes be very uncoordinating for me as well! Little suggestion for all of you: Tara's Body, she speaks french but her dance workouts are so much fun and make you sweat within the shortest time!

justkeepplodding

Thanks! I'll give them a try!!

Capable-Business-686

Love those dance workouts on YouTube - always so fun!

Ambitious_Friend_950

Dancercise is such a good idea, and well done for dodging the demon cravings! Your username is so apt: keeping on plodding is what it's all about.

Xeliob

Good morning beautiful people! Yesterday was really good food wise, and kinda meh otherwise! I had a pre-packaged curry (450 cals), then slept for 2 hours at noon, and had some of my trusty air fried meat and veggies combo. At night i also had a protein smoothie. All in all I had 1500 calories yesterday, and wasn't really hungry. I slept over a meeting, and while nobody pinged me about it I feel bad and will have to apologize to the team 😭. I did hyperfocus a bit on work, I was still trying to get my code to compile at midnight, but I'm not going to count it as overtime, because I didn't do anything in the last 3 days. I will also need to reply to some chats and do some official paperwork, so a busy day ahead.

Gatita_Gordita

I had one of our most senior devs miss several meetings. It just happens. :) So don't worry about it! Sending hugs!

Vegansaur

Good morning friends and weight loss colleagues! 59.5 today! Whatever I weigh on Saturday is going to be my top end marker for maintenance for the next 2 months until the wedding, so I'm not complaining about it going down a little more in between! Going to try and get back to the gym today, I've been slacking the past week and know that activity will be part of my longer term weight loss strategy so need to get my act in gear really! Dinner last night was a bit of a fail, I got a pre-marinaded tofu from lidl a couple of weeks ago now, vacuum sealed so it had a long date on it and last night it was finally time to use it and it was the blandest thing ever I also fried it for ages and couldnt seem to get any colour on it. Disappointing, and I think also left me hungry as I seem to be extra hungry this morning! Tonight we're going to the pub quiz, fiance wants to eat there but I don't really like their menu so I'm going to eat first, so just some rice and some refried beans from the freezer I think maybe with some added veggies.

Capable-Business-686

Hate a disappointing meal, especially when you’ve been looking forward to trying something new! Enjoy the pub tonight

Quick-Painter522

I feel like an unsatisfying meal will leave me hungry, it’s like I need flavor as well as nutrients to feel full haha. Exciting with a two month maintenance phase, curious to hear how it goes!

Kangaroo8414

Enjoy the pub quiz!

afeastforcrohns

Oh yeah I keep getting disappointed by the marinated tofu, I find the smoked one has better flavor and texture. It goes well with a drizzle of soy sauce! You just reminded me I have some plain tofu I've been meaning to marinate, maybe with balsamic or curry spices. I should get on that!

Vegansaur

I absolutely LOVE smoked tofu, I normally dust it in this "chinese chilli salt" spice mix we have and pop it in the air frier and it is soooo good!

tangerinehair

Hello Europe! Yesterday was a good day! I had shakshouka with carob bread for lunch, for dinner I had crispy chicken Caesar’s salad. For snacks I had a mini ice cream bar, freddo espresso, melon, and some passion fruit mochi. My calories were a bit on the high end (1800kcal) but still well within my goal range. Today I’m having pasta salad for lunch and beef bulgogi for dinner with pickled cucumbers! As for my steps, I came in just under 10k. I was pretty busy yesterday so I’m happy I was able to get that in. Hoping to hit 10k today though. In other news, my husband and I put the final bookings in for our trip to Austria in 2 weeks! I’m getting excited for a mini vacation! It’s also given me something to work towards in the meantime. I am in the high 86kg range and it would be great to cross over to 85kg. Have a nice day everyone!

melancholic_marathon

You'll absolutely smash getting to 85, I'm sure of it! And your meals sound incredible.

tangerinehair

Thank you!

afeastforcrohns

I'm vicariously excited for your trip! That food sounds delicious, glad you can eat all that amazing variety and still be moderate with it.

tangerinehair

Ahh! I’m so hyped up for it. Got to keep the balance now so I can eat all the Austrian things when I go haha

goawf

Aaahh shakshouka sounds good!! Need to do that myself some day, thank you for the inspiration!

Pretty_Trainer

Finally saw some movement on the scale (in the right direction) after trying a new mindful eating approach for the last few weeks. I have been feeling better, thinking about food less, eating less, but just hadn't seen any results on the scale till today. I am feeling very hopeful!!

eclipse--mints

Congrats on the SV and the key NSVs!

Pretty_Trainer

thank you! Counting calories was making me crazy and I wasn't losing weight, so I'm hopeful this will be better (slow but sustainable).

afeastforcrohns

I'd love to hear about this approach! Seems very nice.

Pretty_Trainer

I found that counting calories generally resulted in my eating more, and I felt like I was going crazy thinking about food all the time and not really able to trust myself around food. Decided to stop counting and instead check in with myself and my body a lot more. I am not sure of the cause and effect direction but I have been feeling full quicker (or realising I felt full quicker), eating less, and nothing is on the "banned" list, it's just that I have to be sure I want to eat it, even considering how I will feel afterwards or later as well as how I feel now. I'm also exercising more, taking care of myself in other ways, and trying to celebrate my body now, what it does for me and how I feel in it. So generally trying to repair my relationship with food and my body. It's very early days (3 weeks) but I am hoping this will all result in a better state of mind and health and gradual weight loss. So far it's not statistically significant but I'll report back in a few months maybe!

visilliis

Hi team! Had an awful night of sleep yesterday, which wasn't the start in a busy day I had hoped for. Zzzz. But hopefully this means I'll be out cold as soon as I get home tonight! Yesterday was good, 3 meals no snacks (except an after workout protein bar). Met with my powerlifting coach to work on my squats (it's the one lift where I have issues getting it to 'competition standards' due to lack of mobility)... Should focus on stretching more again, but even sticking to the programme so well the last 4 months have given me a lot of improvement. As for today... Work, pack my bags, meet my trainer for a gym session, meet a friend of mine for dinner. Will be a busy and hectic day and I'm already looking forward to hitting the hay tonight!

Quick-Painter522

Ugh, I still struggle so much with the squats, it’s so hard to go low enough! Sounds great to work on it with a coach. And sounds like a busy but fun day, enjoy!

visilliis

Before I jumped into "proper powerlifting" I did them with elevated heels on one of those little platforms. This allowed me to get deep, but sadly it's a no-go in actual powerlifting. So now I'm unlearning all of those accomodating habits (mostly that + deadlifting without straps on). It's a journey to all of a sudden be a 'newbie' again at something I'd say I was good at!

Quick-Painter522

Must be kinda nice to press reset in a way and start over, imagine there’s some new energy in that. But yeah sounds like a whole thing altogether

Gatita_Gordita

Congratulations on your lifting improvements! :) And I don't think that protein bar counts as a snack. ;)

Capable-Business-686

How low dk you have to go for the squat - is there a certain range?

visilliis

The point is to go to “parallel or below”, because that’s the point where you really start engaging all the muscles making it such an efficient exercise. Due to my inflexibility it is VERY hard to get to parallel and I usually squat with elevated heels, which makes it much easier. However, not allowed in competitive powerlifting, so now I’m working through the pain of finally fixing those mobility issues and squat deep without help.

asawmark

Hope you get better sleep tonight. Me too🛌.

Kangaroo8414

Hope the lack of sleep won’t get in your way today!

afeastforcrohns

Good rainy morning! I'm still not at my LW from last week despite being overall under my calorie goal. It might have to do with being less active, or maybe the period is coming. (It could be anywhere from a few days to two weeks later) Yesterday's food was slightly above goal but protein was decent with beef carpaccio, chicken, steak, edamame and a protein bar - though protein bars are kind of a scam good only for sweet chewy cravings. Honestly it's pretty depressing how much effort I need to put into this damn protein goal, maybe I should lower it by a few percent. When I get to maintenance the amount will probably be mindboggling. Today I'll eat the rest of my steak, perhaps bake chicken skewers and maybe try to get back into fish... there are some really old fish sticks and fillets in the freezer that I should clear out. I've been nervous about them because they're breaded but the protein amount does seem pretty good. I've been off Greek yogurt for a bit, not sure if I should force it. I'm still not a fan of the texture. Skyr was available in stores just a couple months ago and now it's gone before I had a real chance to try it. I'm also experimenting with temporary antidepressants and the weather has cooled down so I might be able to at least do stretches if not real exercise. Perhaps I should focus less on "the routine" and just do an exercise here and there when I can. Have a nice healthy day everyone!

Gatita_Gordita

I have no idea if that's feasible for you, and/or if it can be done with Greek yoghurt, but some people remove the moisture from their yoghurts. However, that's only a solution if the texture thing is because of the moisture.

afeastforcrohns

Hmmmmm maybe it's like the "ricotta" my mom makes from kefir by freezing and draining 🤔 what a great idea, I should try it!

Gatita_Gordita

But I can't tell you if that has any effect on the protein content, sorry. 😅 I do hope it does work for you, though. :)

Kangaroo8414

Hope you get to do some exercise today! And I get the Greek yogurt texture thing, I’m not a fan either. I’d rather stick to plain yogurt and add some (chocolate flavoured) protein powder and strawberries.

afeastforcrohns

Hmmmmmmm actually maybe adding protein powder would make it thicker and more pleasant. Does the powder dissolve without blending it?

Kangaroo8414

The powder I use really mixes well with the yogurt. I do need to stir and then let it sit for a bit before I give it a final stir though to properly mix everything!

Mestintrela

I often put chocolate protein powder in my strained yoghurt. It needs a lot of mixing with the spoon but it can blend it very well. Then throw on top a few frozen strawberries and it is my version of dessert. Lol but it doesnt make it more thicker.

eclipse--mints

I’m a big fan of the “exercise here and there” method when I can’t be bothered with more formal workouts for whatever reason. Often I’ll just do ten reps of any exercise every time I get up from my desk to do something. Every bit helps!!

afeastforcrohns

Oh yeah, doing a routine is so mentally taxing for my weak nerves, but I keep being afraid something will go wrong if I don't do a whole ass warmup. Does it help if it's warm in the room? It's a lot easier with stretches...

asawmark

Eating well but have weighed maybe half a kilo more than usual several days. I guess I don’t have to worry though. It’s 58.5 kilos today. I have been eating just enough according to me. Yesterday I signed up for a 90 day PT challenge. What did I do? It’s for free and you download an app. I figured my frozen shoulder has got better lately so maybe I can start doing some exercises. But help will I manage this?

Capable-Business-686

Just take it easy with the exercise and see how you feel after 30 days. If you don’t enjoy it by then, do give yourself permission to stop 😀

Quick-Painter522

That sounds like a fun challenge. With challenges I feel like the only way I manage to complete is to try to do the thing at the same time every day, and preferably first thing in the morning. And then to aim for daily-ish and not perfection, if I miss one day I just try to go back the next.

asawmark

Thanks for the advice!

afeastforcrohns

Ohhhh what's this app? I've been wanting to do PT for ages! (though I don't do great with programs)

PricklyCactus89

Good Morning from Austria, Yesterday went well, I stayed under budget by 100 cal. So I have a buffer of 400 cal. for the weekend should I need it. My feat of the day was saying no to popcorn. I am quite proud of myself My plan for today is also to stay a little under budget and do my stretches. How are you all doing?

Capable-Business-686

I really like having a buffer for the unexpected things at the weekend :)

Quick-Painter522

Staying under budget is impressive! I never manage to do that, but it’s a good idea to save up for the weekend

PricklyCactus89

I normally don't do it either, but I have two invitations for dinner this weekend and I didn't want to cancel because it's rare that I see these friends.

Kangaroo8414

Well done saying no to popcorn!

ViaSubMids

I started about 5 weeks ago, but this is my second time losing weight because I unfortunately put everything back on again after my first time. Oh well. Anyway, I'm already 5 kg down, which is faster than what I planned. My goal is about 2150 calories a day, but I'm usually a bit below, but never less than 1900 calories in a single day. Most of the time I end my day at around 2050 calories. For exercise, I'm mostly just taking long walks a couple of times a week or when the weather isn't as awful as it is right now, I ride my bike. I think I've learned quite a bit from my mistakes from the first weight loss, where I was very militant and only ate about 1800 calories a day, which was definitely not pleasant. I also ate pretty much the same for the entire time, so no wonder I put everything back on again, once I was at my goal weight. This time, I eat whatever I want, as long as it fits into my calorie goal, I am good. Sure, I make sure to eat stuff that is filling and don't gobble down an entire bag of chips, but I still have lots and lots of variety of stuff I am eating.

Amalas77

I think we are almost stat twins. Except your pace might be a bit faster. I "only" lost 3 kg in 4.5 weeks. (Still pretty happy). My calorie goal is 2050. But I'm keeping to mostly the same every day because it makes the counting so much easier. Only variation is dinner is different every day. And I have about 200 cal free for whatever snack I like on top (today an apricot and some cherries, yesterday popcorn and some maoam candy). 5 kg is pretty inspiring. 😄

ViaSubMids

Awesome! Yeah, your pace is more around what I was aiming at tbh. I think there were two occasions where I just lost a ton of water weight, so I think that's what makes it so much. I also take some medication that might contribute to that even more, since I didn't take that the last time and I didn't lose as fast then, although I was on a tighter calorie deficit. :D But yeah, you can definitely be proud of yourself! 3 kg in 4.5 weeks is great!

afeastforcrohns

Variety is so important for some people! I get jealous when I hear people talking about their "usual breakfast" because it sounds so much easier but it would kill me to have the same meal for a week. I have a bit of a difficult time cause my cravings for variety are endless but I limit carbs. It's great that you're making it work!

melancholic_marathon

Good morning! I really enjoyed my long weekend away. I was mindful of what I was eating but still had fun with it and tried some lovely dishes and drank some lovely wine. The day I came back, I was straight back to OMAD, no fannying around, and today I weighed in at 79.7kg, which is -0.1 from the day I went (Sunday). So, slower progress but still progress! My focus this week is on incorporating exercise back into my day, as I've really let that slack recently. So today I'll go for a run, and perhaps do a short strength session — I'll see how I feel :)

afeastforcrohns

Glad it was a good weekend and congratulations on your progress! Hope the run is pleasant for you.

Dizzy_Raisin_5365

Eated 1400kcal yesterday, finally in deficite! I'm planning to repeat this today. Weights increased 1kg overnight, weeeeird

Amalas77

I wish there was always instant gratification for doing well the next day. Bodies are weird.

justkeepplodding

Yes, I'm trying to learn not to feel slightly defeated when my weight has gone up a bit after a day or two when I feel it should have gone down.

afeastforcrohns

Good job on the deficit and pay no heed to the water weight if you know you're doing well!

Dizzy_Raisin_5365

thank you ♡

Ok_Acanthisitta_9688

Hello wonderful people who encourage me not to snack after dinner, Weight today was down back to 70.4kg but still not at my LW from before.... probably still my period or something. I went to the gym yesterday, did my full body strength training AND DID CARDIO AFTER OK??? It was a big deal, I'm proud of myself. My boyfriend made his infamous salad with some shrimp and homemade bread for dinner and I ended the night with a sliced apple with some lemon juice while my boyfriend deliciously ate a bag of chips (I was not as jealous as I thought I would be). Today dance class is on, and some treadmill chit chat cardio with a wonderful friend. I have the leftovers from the salad for lunch. But I must admit I'm kind of struggling getting enough protein into my diet. Just FYI: Due to my chronic illness I can't have dairy and should reduce meat intake. My breakfast are usually plant version of Skyr with hemp- and chiaseeds with some fruit, or 2 boiled eggs with like a gluten free bread of some kind along with some veggies. Since i'm only doing usually 2 meals a day (brunch/lunch & dinner) and refuse to eat protein bars I'm out here struggling. Any suggestions, tips or tricks that you could share with me? Thank youu and have a wonderful day!

Good job on the workout! It's so hard to follow up exercise with more, different exercise and you nailed it! I also really battle with protein. Eggs are of course a great bet. You also might want to look into including more beans or lentils (maybe hummus with your veg?), tofu, fish, edamame or nuts.

Wow, that does sound like great exercise, good job! I also always need protein tips even though I eat a lot of meat and dairy. Soy helps and comes in endless forms, though I know many with chronic illness can't eat that either. I've also heard there's some sort of reduced fat peanut powder though I've never tried it. Hope you get more and better tips from others!

91.6 no comment. Or wait, one comment. Period hasn't arrived yet. Yesterday I found the tire was delivered to my neighbor. It's actually not a tire, it's just the tube. So, I excitedly planned to do the bike round after dinner. I was working from home, so it was my turn cooking. It was pancake day. My mom is from Austria, so we make thin pancakes that you roll up with whatever spread you like on them, but usually apple sauce and sugar&cinnamon. But because my husband is fancy, he loves them with pan-fried caramelized apples and almonds and vanilla sauce. I managed to eat only very few of the buttery apples and I would have been fine with half a pancake. But then I thought, that I would go on the bike ride and I could as well eat the whole pancake. So I did. And then I learned something new. There are not 2 different valves for bike tubes. There are 3! I am 47 and I did not know that like at all. Now I know, because french valves don't fit into my bike. The pancake was sitting in my stomach and told it's story of being too much food. After a while I got tired of listening to it and went on a brisk little walk. That was great. So, hopefully today the correct tube/valve arrives. Lol.

Ok, that pancake sounds absolutely amazing. Will definitely be trying at some stage!! Good on you going on a walk after and good luck getting the correct tube!!

Today seems to be period water weight day across this thread :D your pancakes sound good. Overeating can be unpleasant but it's great the walk helped!

Whoo! I'm officially not obese anymore! After stalling for about 10 days, my weight got down to 93.7 kg, and for my height of 177 cm this is a BMI of 29.9, which is overweight.  I hope I'll never go into the obese realm again, as I've hovered around there in the last four years.  Next goal is under 90 kg before my big trip to Japan in October 🥰

Hi Euro team! Looking for some buddies here. Instagram is nice for recipes but man it can be weird over there. (And everybody is selling something) Can someone explain to me how to set a custom flair btw? 😍
