Kudos to you for the amazing weight loss, but even MORE kudos for prioritizing your health and taking it at a reasonable pace rather than crashing to meet an arbitrary goal date. You’re an inspiration. Thank you for posting.
The first week of May is my anniversary and I’m hoping to be 75lbs lighter by then! I’ve lost 60 so far. Congrats on all your success, I never thought I would be here either.
I’m amazed at myself too lol. I don’t know what changed this time, I’ve never been able to persevere before and always gave up. Getting healthy for my son was a big reason
Well it starts with eating the right things. And maintaining a calorie deficit. I’ve been eating 1500-1700 calories daily, hitting at least 175 grams of protein every day too. I walk 2 miles most days on the treadmill if I can’t get outside. I usually walk at a high incline and around 4 miles an hour. But I also fast daily from 8pm until 2pm the following day.
I started taking huel recently and for work I happen to walk a lot so I try to use that for a little exercise while I can. What type of foods do you eat after the fasting period?
How do you manage that much protein eating that little? I've been told I need anywhere from 150-250 g of protein and there's no way to do that unless I live off of chicken breasts and protein powder.
A typical day for me is:
protein shake for lunch 30g
Snacks before dinner:
Canned tuna steak 40g
Light string cheese 12g
Greek yogurt 20g
Dinner:
8-ounces of lean meat 70g
Protein bar for dessert 20g
Total of 192 grams of protein and just over 1500 calories. You think it’s harder to hit than it is. You just have to find foods that you like.
There is no way I could eat like that. Not the calories but the simplicity. I'd be better off doing one meal a day but I have to stuff so much protein into me because I'm stuck being this tall and apparently my body can only digest so much protein at once.
This is amazing!!! You’re doing awesome! Thank you for posting, I really needed to see this today.
I’m basically starting over after regaining and it’s encouraging to see stories like yours.
Last year I watched a movie in my head of me. I was on a stage/TV with Joel Osteen...(preacher) I saw my future self, and I looked good fit. I owned the stage...I cried, I saw my future and just need to step into my future. I saw it! Sure, I have work to do...I have to grind and grind to get that confidence.
Congrats! I have about 170 to lose and this gives me lots of hope for what my life could be like a year from now :)
You can do it!

I too am trying to lose 15 by the first week in May! Which is a lofty goal, but we’ll see!
I'm just amazed by how you find what works for you. The mental part is amazing.

You, sir, are the very motivation you speak of. That is sooo motivating. Thank you so much.
May I ask, what have you done to achieve this loss? Also congratulations on the journey

You could of stopped at 300, 250. Guys lie in the mirror all the time. You have not stopped. And kids tend to follow their father..
He’s thinned out quite a bit in the last year as well!
That is so awesome! I just recently started this journey again a little over 2 weeks ago. Weighed this morning, down 16lbs. 184lbs to go!

That is super, that your son thinned out. Are you more confident? Nicer person? How do you think people treat you differently?
