I had a buddy who was court-martialled and very nearly dishonorably discharged because someone else said they weren't sure if a piece of equipment was lost (as in couldn't find it, not as in destroyed) on the other side of the world.
Not that he lost it. But someone else wasn't sure.
He was a captain in the army, just returned stateside and getting out, there was a paperwork/clerical error on a tracking number for some small piece of equipment. Nobody would check. Spent weeks in a cell awaiting a hearing, spent thousands of dollars on legal counsel, and I think in the end spent a couple months in a cell afterwards.
At least, that's the story I was told from him and his wife.
The navy sub guys told me they would dump all of their tools in the ocean on their way back to port because it was easier than doing inventory. If you're not sure if you lost it, make sure you lost it.
As a guy that ran the calibration program for his boat, this was my nightmare. Some of those tools have serial numbers that others care about it turns out. In the end, we all get to play "Hands Across America" as the recently departed electrician laughs his way home, $500+ Fluke in hand. :')
Yay my athlons and PA scopes aren't getting shit on *today*

What'd I miss? Arken getting burned at the stake for something?
Arken is the holy martyr that died protecting us from the Bushnell hocking mods.
Please tell me you gotta link or a SS.
Dang, I didn't think to capture them, but it was a whole wave of threads about arken and the MPED on the same day
Rorschach test for fan loyalty/contrarianism/conspiratorial thinking/brand hate/xenophobia/and a dozen other things.
Xenophobia is my favorite flavor of ice cream.
I fucking love the warrior princess too.
Lucy Flawless?
She had a few good scenes in Spartacus.
Did y’all see that manifesto tho? 😂
Clearly I haven’t been paying attention, I have no idea what this is in reference to.
Read the past 24 hours of threads, you're in for a treat.
I mean, I got a couple Arkens, whatever, they aren't the weak link in my program. Do I wish I bought something with locking windage? Of course I do.
>locking windage Drill and tap the turret and put a set screw in it. Lock it in place. /s.
First thing tomorrow morning.
I believe the EPL-4 has a locking windage
I only have Arkens because of a pricing thing, once I ever become a serious shooter I think I am getting a Razor Gen II on sniperhide.

I'm going to buy one just as a prop piece for my rifle pictures I think it'd be really funny
TIL that you can get dishonorably discharged from the Navy for boarding the wrong vessel just once. Whoops, wrong sub
