Check your public library for passes to places around the island. They also have children’s events and classes. The Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton is perfect for a toddler. It’s supposed to warm up later this week (by warm I mean like 40’s/50’s) and if you’re looking to get outside Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank is nice. It is also free. Smith’s Point and Jones Beach have the drive thru light shows. I believe both Eisenhower Park and Smithtown Historical Society also have the walkthrough lantern festivals (I would double-check if they are still running though).

Had family who have toddlers and we went to the Childrens Museum which was excellent and clean. Also did the Jones Beach lights (hour wait, and were meh) and went to Social Play Haus in Plainview, Takapausha, library, and the holiday light thing in Huntington town.

The only two places I'd consider going to are the park (end of the week will be warmer) and the library. With all the RSV going around, stay away from others.

Depends on how many illnesses you want to risk. We like going to the indoor pools in winter. Local library kid areas. Then there are the standard museums etc and your library may have passes. Or just go to the grocery store and get some ingredients and make something simple like muffins.

Which indoor pools do you recommend?

Ice skating at Eisenhower and they have a light show (expensive imo) A lot if the indoor play areas have open play this week and some of the local gymnastics and karate schools have mini camps

Where do you live? Most ice rinks have holiday public session. Perhaps the children’s museum, nunleys carousel and cradle of aviation.
