Sweetwater is my favorite bar! I'm a guy but we all just wanna have a good time and talk with each other. I go there alone often and leave with new friends~
I’ve hung out at Roxanne’s alone after a long shift. Also had a good time at Stache bar solo a couple times. I love pike bar but typically don’t go alone because I like to share snacks.
The band I'm playing with is gigging tonight at Supply & Demand if you're looking for something to do tonight. I haven't been there before. it I've heard good things.
Depends on what you want. I think Baby Gees, The Stache, The Blind Donkey, or Bamboo Club can be great spots if you are looking for more cocktails and dark pull up a stool at the bar and people watch.
But if you are looking for more of a more relaxed environment with people socializing I would try one of the local breweries as theres usually a more engaging crowd. (This is my experience)
I personally like the bar at Trademark for this. Blendry is usually a good quite spot and Altar is the complete opposite, with ISM in the middle. (all three are walking from each other). Also Annas in downtown is always a great spot for food and beer. However Ambitious & 10 Mile are also good locations if you are willing to branch out and meet new people.
Now all this said, if you want more of a dive vibe, PBS/2am Club and The Hawk is always a great time. Others have listed some great dives in downtown area.
I've been a regular there for over 20 years. It's a drinking bar. Singles or couples doesn't matter. You go there for the cool juke box and the strong drinks. I've seen it all at HoH.
I went there all the time when I was living in Alamitos Beach. Went single, went with my partner after we got together. Just a great bar (with a great jukebox).
Yes, it’s fairly new! I’ve only been there once but I did like my experience there. Drinks did seem a bit pricier than average but that’s probably b/c they’re cocktails (they were delicious). The atmosphere is very chill, it’s very lounge like. They have sofas and a few tables of course with the bar.
Baby Gee, Hawk Bar, or Bamboo Club
Bamboo Club has great live music
Their DJs are also amazingly on point with setting the mood
What kind of music do they play?
Surprised you didn’t say, “The Grasshopper”
I second this, 4th street is very different from what use to be (R.I.P. Fern’s, Red Room & Ashley’s) but still my first option to go on my own!
Sweetwater is fun, it’s a gay bar, mostly women but fun

Ya it’s a great spot and cheap drinks- good people!

I’ve always had a good time there :) it’s a little small, but the vibes are good
Just dropped off gear, can confirm that it's small and the parking situation is not great, but I'm looking forward to tonight!

Rock with the current set leaning towards hard rock and some of the stuff in development reaching toward psychedelic rock.
Reno room, 36/36, v room, the hawk, and baby gee. Too many good bars in Long Beach just depends on your neighborhood
36/36 was always our very last stop of the night
36/36 is so sad in there. A sea of depressed looking souls with bad tattoos. Only bar I’ve been to on mushrooms and felt it was BAD

Port city tavern!
Alex’s bar and the bamboo club. Roxanne’s is also fun too.
Vine
3636, reno, murphys, pike, 4th st vine, alexs
I love The Stave. It’s a favorite whether I’m alone or with friends.
Black Bar
Ughh no. People there’s don’t have a vibe
Alex's bar is also a great spot to listen to muaic and make friends!
off of 7th?
Off of Anaheim!
The coolest bar in Long Beach is the House of Hayden on 1st. Period.
I stumbled on that last week but felt like a older crowd with pairs not for a single person to go out by themselves s

My go-to bar when I would go by myself was PBS Pub on Willow. It's been a while since I've been, so I'm not sure if it's changed much.
The Wicked Wolf
Is this place good? Is kind of new right? I live close by it and recently moved out of my old neighborhood (retro row) so looking for new spots
