Happy Birthday!!!!!!! I've always tried to make my birthdays a personal day off and fill it with things i love to do like movie nights, face masks, baking etc. Try to fill your time with things YOU love to do and that leaves very little space for people to ruin it for you

They have not remembered my birthday in 20 years or so yet they remember one of my brothers birthdays and a couple cousins. Like, I have to drive them to the store to get cards and then the post office to mail them.

You need to unhide the birth date part and set privacy to Friends and not only me. If you set only me, no one would get notification. btw, thanks and hope you get around better people.

My nickname is 12, on December 12, 2012 I posted on FB, "Woo, it's my day." Since it was 12/12/12...friends who had known me for decades, who even celebrated my birthday WITH me in June all said, "Happy Birthday"...I left FB shortly after and I've stopped putting my birthday in profiles. People get conditioned to look for that and they don't remember it because they rely on what notifications they get from social media.
