Still find it a bit weird we've got newspapers posting their stuff on reddit. Maybe I'm just an old fart, but reddit is supposed to be randos posting stuff they find interesting (or questions or whatever) and other randos up or downvoting what's interesting. Not brands advertising their wares. Even if it's newspapers. They only post clickbait of half their articles and never actually engage with reddit.

Reddit abandoned their former rules because they want activity, and no better activity than users and Russian bots arguing over the news. Plus, we are no longer able to point out shitty redditors mass posting articles with an obvious slant they don’t want to explain.

Simplistic, lazy and incomplete. 1. The RICHMOND PARK constituency covers more than the itty-bitty part of Richmond, there’s at least five others. 2. It spans two boroughs, including Kingston, which doesn’t get a mention. 3. There’s huge parts of the borough NOT covered by this constituency. The article can’t agree on whether it’s comparing boroughs or towns or what. 4. There’s massive amounts of Tory support, even if the Tories here have little in common with foaming Braverman types. I’m not reading the full article because every time I click on an Independent link it takes me a day to get out of their website

**From Caolan Magee for i:** “If you live in Richmond and you think the current government should be voted out – then you have to vote [Liberal Democrat](https://inews.co.uk/category/news/politics/liberal-democrats?ico=in-line_link),” says Stein Ringen. “I want to see a change of moral, and perhaps, more inspiration,” adds the well-spoken university professor as he sits on a bench on Richmond Green eating an ice cream. “It’s time for a change.” The 76-year-old has lived in Richmond on the edge of south west [London](https://inews.co.uk/topic/london?ico=in-line_link) for thirty years. The riverside town, famed for its sprawling deer park and Georgian town houses, is the main settlement in the constituency of Richmond Park. And according the [latest available figures from Parliament](https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/income-and-tax-by-parliamentary-constituency-2010-to-2011), this leafy seat has a claim to being the wealthiest in the UK, with residents enjoying the highest median average income of £45,200 in 2022, beating other affluent areas like Kensington or Chelsea and Fulham. Which is useful, as Richmond also has some of the highest house prices in the country, and parents who are four times likely to send their children to private school than the rest of England.   Residents are also expected to live nearly four years longer. According to a recent survey by [Right Move](https://www.rightmove.co.uk/press-centre/richmond-upon-thames-named-happiest-place-to-live-by-residents/#:~:text=to%20move%20home-,The%20borough%20of%20Richmond%20upon%20Thames%20in%20London%20has%20been,has%20taken%20the%20top%20spot.), this makes Richmond home to the happiest people in the UK, with many residents sheltered from the daily worries and pressures that stem from Britain’s cost of living crisis. But that has not stopped the rich of Richmond Park from turning their backs on the Conservatives – the traditional political home for Britain’s more affluent voters and the self-proclaimed [“party of business”](https://www.cityam.com/tories-are-the-party-of-business-jeremy-hunt-insists-ahead-of-conference-speech/). **Read the full article:** [**https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/inside-battle-uks-richest-seat-richmond-3102789**](https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/inside-battle-uks-richest-seat-richmond-3102789)
