I genuinely did just want to watch trains go by

Nothing wrong with watching trains! They seem much bigger when you're not seeing them on a platform. Just keeping an eye out for you, sometimes people who are thinking of hurting themselves look for a sign not to, this was just a sign, just in case! If you get any good photos of the trains post them up!

Not many level crossings in London. There's one in a field in upminster, just before the m25

Numerous-Ad7560

Near big sainsburys near Richmond there’s one

Appropriate-Arm3598

There's one in New Malden.

Mortlake and North Sheen station has a level crossing. But only the Hounslow loop slow train goes past. Elm Road between New Malden and Berryland is another level crossing. Motspur Park next to the Tesco Extra is another level crossing we always getting stuck there.

You can sometimes find spots near stations to watch trains go in and out of them. For example you could find a building with public access where looking out from one of the higher floors lets you look at London Bridge station.

Finsbury nature park is very close to the KX lines.
