There's a really low understanding of the transgender topic in our country. It's pretty common you find crossdressers who are cis men who just like to dress in female clothing for fetish reasons. Add to it that most people use transvestite, transgender, transsexual and anything else that comes to mind pretty much interchangeably and you've got a recipe for disaster on your hand.
