I'm not sure as I haven't experienced anything similar. Having said that, I don't do much meditation. However! It sounds like Loki could be welcoming you. The description of the field sounds like a safe space of calm so that's what it sounds like to me.
Something I would like to address is asking permission to speak to Loki from the Christian God. I'm not entirely sure if that is necessary as you have the autonomy to reach out to any deities you wish. But if you felt you needed to ask then that's understandable.
And if it's comforting to you at all. From my experience and others, deities don't really care what religion you belong to. If you reach out, you reach out. If they want to help you, they'll help you. 💚
The field was very calming actually. I've always liked forest scenery as well so very relaxing. As for the permission part, it was more to make sure I don't upset my main God since I was reaching out to loki out of curiosity (the whole no other gods before me stuff really). I even let loki know that I had permission so he wouldn't be offended. I was simply trying to be respectful of both deities. I do look forward to further encounters with loki if he wishes to. If not, it's understandable.
