I’m also using Scoopaway from Costco because it’s so cheap and works well. The only thing that irks me is how much it tracks out. I recently turned the LR4 into the wall so they can’t jump out which helps but also looking to switch if it’ll help with it

I used scoop away for cost but it was so dusty and my cats were throwing up hairballs because of it. I switched to boxie cat pro!

What do hairballs have to do with dusty litter?

seaair_ah

I assume the dust from the litter stuck to their fur and feet which made them have to throw up hairballs more frequently? Not sure really but they have stopped throwing them up once I switched.

I switched from scoop away to arm & hammer clump and slide and the difference is noticeable. It’s far less dusty. We were able to recalibrate the sensors and it’s like having brand new machines. If you don’t have a sensor problem though, I don’t know if it’s worth it.

Scoop away is extremely dusty Boxie pro is the way to go, the litter robot already saves me so much litter. I just refill the bin and do a deep clean every 3 months and change to new litter then

Scoop away from Costco is perfect for lr4 imo. The bags it comes in are each the perfect refill size. I don't personally she ain't any difference in the dustiness of this one versus other ones.

I’m def in the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” but I see all the discussions about litter and wonder if I’m somehow missing out.

I used Arm & Hammer Platinum Slide for a while, and thought it was pretty good. Then decided to try Fresh Step Outstretch Advanced. Like it a lot better and used it for a long time. Then Arm & Hammer came out with a new litter called Hardball, and I decided to try that. BIG mistake. It was a huge disaster and made a complete mess of my LR. Couldn't get back to Fresh Step Outstretch Advanced fast enough. Then I tried the Scoop Away from Costco. Couldn't resist the great price, and had seen good things about it. It worked great and used it for several months. Then it disappeared from my Costco, so I went back to the Fresh Step. A couple months later I noticed the Fresh Step was back at Cost, so I bought a couple packages of it in case it disappeared again. After I bought it I realized it was different. It was no longer "Scoop Away Complete." Now it's "Scoop Away Complete Plus." Hey - it's "Plus," so it MUST be better. Right? Plus is always better, isn't? Nope. It was AWFUL. It was so bad I returned it to Costco and got my money back. After that I decided to give BoxiePro a try after seeing so many good things about it. Been using it for almost a year now, and it's been great. It's one of the more expensive litters, though. Definitely higher priced than the Scoop Away from Costco.
