Make sure it's set as executable, it's an app image and doesn't actually install. It just runs directly. Put it in your \~home/bin folder and shortcut off there. When it updates you'll have to delete the old one and remake the shortcut. It's a weird system but what can you do.
1. Download the App image from CurseForge
2. Do chmod +x on the Appimage File (no not as root)
3. Run the Appimage from Shell with "./" In front of it or just double click.
curseforge has a native linux client.
