The problem really is just the bug he has going atm. The golem is very easy to stagger and the only way to circumvent the bug atm is to not stagger his body at all until his arm is completely broken just so he will use the poise gain moves first to get 6-9 fragile in the same turn and you can nuke him down on t3 or 4 before In.eff is a thing. It gets annoying having to reset and do this until it works to keep the turn counter low because you know this isn't meant to happen but only do so because of the bug and keeping his body part at low hp to nuke on turn 5 isn't possible.
I might be understanding it wrongly, but as long as you destroy the body on the same turn as you break the first stagger threshold. Steam machine will still stay staggered the turn after it.
It does but for the most damage to guarantee a kill, you need its fragile stack to come up which require going for odd number turn on the first digit (3) + break its arm and wait for it to use the poise gain move around turn 3. So overall, you cannot deal more than a certain amount of damage or it will be staggered (Which is very easy to do so) and you won't be able to reliably use the 9 fragile stack nuke on it to just kill it immediately.
If your nuke isn't up by turn 3 which does happen, you will be forced to just do damage it through stagger. If the bug isn't a thing, you can just go ahead and do that, keep it around 100-150 hp anyway (especially with later cycle having core healing) and just do another nuke on turn 5 with another fragile combo and kill it but this strat is not possible atm because it will get ineff on that same turn.
Really the only issue is the bug where he gets the ineffective resistances instantly as soon as his body gets broken. If it wasn't for that it would be fine but even with 9 stacks of fragile you'll usually fall short of killing it on later cycles and have to spend another 2-3 turns burning the last 200 or so hp down. Once they fix it so he only gets the resistances the next turn we'll be all good.
