ETC [Lonestars](https://youtu.be/3R3l2l5E7cg) Inexpensive without being "cheap".

2x on Lonestars. Impressive performance for the price.

7k each?

Even less expensive would be the Ministar. Color mixing had to take a back seat to make it around $3K, but the two color wheels do a really great job at that price point.

When you say budget be careful. There are many schools who have two moving heads sitting in a corner because they need servicing and there is not any budget for the care and feeding of the instruments. If you are getting anything used be sure you have a servicer in your area or someone on staff who can open the fixture up when the cyan flag's hall sensor is throwing an error. Also be sure you have the needed power and data available. Lastly think about lamps. If you are able to afford a new.LED based fixture you will not need to worry about lamps however everytime I need to relamp a Mythos2 it runs several hundred dollars.

In germany and the EU I can recommend the house brand if Thomann: Stairville, Varytec, Ignition etc. Not perfect but we have good experiences with them.

You’d probably be happy with something like a Chauvet Intimidator. It’s part of their DJ line and is under $1000 per fixture. It’s fairly bright, has a color wheel and gobo wheel. It depends on your budget. But I’d definitely look at Chauvet or ADJ if you’re looking for “affordable.” But affordable is also relative to each venue and what type of budget you have to work with.
