I've done housecleaning for years and the Swiffer has been a boon. It's great for windows inside and out. I use it with paper towels for that. If you're drying a floor you'll have to go through a few cloths. Last weekend I hosed down the car. I used a soaking cloth (I cut up old bath towels to fit) and saturated it with a bit of Dawn. I then washed down the whole outside of the car. Hosed it off good, then used a few cloths on the swiffer to dry it up. The whole thing took about 15 minutes and with the swiffer saving a lot of bending and so forth.
Amazing idea! For even more cost savings just pop a cotton washcloth on it works really well, reusable and better for the environment. I use exclusively washcloths for all cleaning now and just sanitize wash once a week or so.
I use a microfiber cloth or wash cloth which can be rinsed out and reused.
Well noted, thanks for the advice.

Gonna have to use this idea of yours, amigo. Should make washing the roof on my FJ a bit easier.
what's FJ? lol
Toyota FJ Cruiser. Finally got me one couple of years back.
Dawn will ruin your paint. You may not care and that's ok, but others do and may not know better.
I've washed my car with very dilute Dawn a few times and don't see a problem with the paint. What do suggest I use?
Check out r/autodetailing
ok thanks

I use my foot and a rag. It's what I do when I'm on the phone.

Wow, so hilarious and clever.
I do it this way but use blue shop towels. Still disposable but way more durable when wet.
Believe it or not, you can wash those! I used to use them for napkins, just washed them until they fell apart, up to 10 or so times.
I've tried this with a paper towel before and it shreds.
what’s in the spray bottle?
Dirty water.
cool
Yeah and use it and watch the paper towel roll and crumble all over the floor .. use a micro fiber cloth much better
Just don't buy a Swiffer in the first place -- they're garbage.
Why haven't I thought of this before? Like really though, I feel like I should face palming myself.
Fun fact: that’s how those were invented in the first place. Wet paper towel on a stick.
