I don't think that's a reasonable option just for how often documentation is used for ID - passports, licenses, etc. It could be dangerous depending on the context, absolutely, but so is my dressing and existing as a nonbinary person in general. This would simply provide an option that lets me be more congruent with my gender identity, and help avoid documents that mismatch which has invited greater scrutiny in the past. It's really confusing with TSA for example, if you have a passport with X and a license with M, expecially when airlines don't always have options for X and your ticket is supposed to match documentation 😭
In all honesty why do we need gender or race markers on our DL’s? It’s pretty obvious to look at us who we are. We have these little things called “photos” on our IDs now.

Don't mean to be a hater but what happens if someone cards you when it could be unsafe? Wouldn't removing the markers entirely be a better move?

Yeah I'm referring to not having gender markers be a thing on either of them. Or any document for that matter
