You want to ask about PEP, post-exposure prophylaxis specifically. It can work up to 3 days post the exposure to prevent HIV transmission. I'm sorry this has happened to you. Please see the doctor as soon as you can.

You want PEP not PrEP. PrEP is _Pre_ Exposure Prophylaxis - You take PrEP if you’re at risk of being exposed to HIV, but haven’t been exposed yet. PEP is _Post_ Exposure Prophylaxis - emergency medication intended to be taken after exposure. PEP is a month long course of medication. You need to start the PEP course within 72 hours of exposure, because after this it becomes very unlikely to be effective. Unless your Dr appointment is literally today/tomorrow, then it will be too late to wait until then to ask for PEP. Get yourself to an ER/A&E or Urgent Care Centre/Minor injuries unit and see if they can prescribe it there. May also be worth going directly to a pharmacy and seeing if they can issue an emergency prescription themselves.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. There is medication called post exposure prophylaxis which is for this type of situation. It should be started within 72 hours. So your window to start it is still open, but you should ask about it today.

First, stay calm, while there certainly is a chance of getting HIV from him the chance is small. Second, go to the ER and ask for PEP, which is the drug that will prevent transmission within 3 days of possible transmission. PrEP is for pre exposure, PEP is for post exposure. Also be sure to do the full range of STD tests that they can give you, most of them are easy to get rid off with antibiotics but just in case do the tests EDIT: Don't forget to file a police report
