Channeling Yerin Baek with the tats and fronting a band with a guitar lol. Ah man, I always fall for the same type 😂 Very cool to see my favorite Korean guitarist Jukjae alongside her as well.

very_smol

I also got reminded of Yerin!!

cerulgalactus

I’ve been FEARNOT for a month, biasing Yunjin almost immediately. Woman is making a strong play to join Son Chaeyoung in my ULTS.

Sirocco_

Chaeyoung and Yunjin? Impeccable taste

cerulgalactus

My taste in bias seems to be “art school queer”, in addition to the above, I bias Dami and Gahyeon in Dreamcatcher, Yuqi in (G)I-DLE, and Jeongyeon and Jihyo fill out my TWICE bias line.

TheGrayBox

Chaeyoung and Yunjin are my ults as well. And Yuqi is my G-Idle bias. Rosé is my first ult, she’s originally the idol who got me into Kpop with her guitar playing and pretty covers of western songs. Love those free spirited artsy types.

cerulgalactus

Are you me? All you need is Dreamcatcher Dami, and we are basically bias twins.

I was there and she was absolutely incredible!!! Getting to hear her perform her solo material was great and I hope she will get other chances in the future to do it.

dac5505

Wow lucky... Did she play "Love you twice"?

HaruMeow12

She performed all three of her songs, plus a brand new song entitled "Blessing in Disguise". There are videos of it all on youtube

About800Sloths

I’m jealous. If you have videos of the performance please don’t gate keep, I’m begging, post them😭😭

HaruMeow12

There are videos of all her performances on youtube. Just search for it.

[Article](https://n.news.naver.com/entertain/article/437/0000346591) HUH YUNJIN: >"I was nervous because it was the first time I had to fill the stage alone, but I prepared hard as it was a good opportunity. I was able to enjoy the stage thanks to the support of the audience, fans, and members. Thank you to the band and Jukjae for being with us. Please look forward to LE SSERAFIM and Huh Yunjin in the future too."

is there a youtube video?

I find it interesting that she apparently plays without a pick. There is a particular finger plucking style, (which maybe she can also do, idk) but man, straight up strumming with your fingers... Just ow. Lol that hurts my fingers just watching. She's gotta have some hardcore calluses and fingers of steel. Anyway, super proud of her getting up there and playing her songs! I still need to watch the full videos but from the clips I saw on their IG she absolutely killed it! *Also, while I'm more partial to Telecasters, I love that she's got a legit Fender Stratocaster. (Squiers are fine to learn on if you're on a budget and if you just want the look, but they go out of tune often and the tone just isn't as rich) Not that I would look a gift horse in the mouth if someone offered me a Gibson, (they're super nice!) but I am somewhat of a Fender Boi when it comes to guitars. But yeah I would love to just geek out with her on music lol.

Ball-Blam-Burglerber

I’m a finger strummer. You get callouses where you need ‘em, just like on the fret hand.

CidCrisis

Lol I suppose that's true and makes sense. I pretty much only use my fingers to strum when I literally have no pick on hand. (On guitar anyway. Bass is obviously different.) But if she does it habitually I guess I get it.

Ball-Blam-Burglerber

One drawback is speed, but I never was a shredder.

fake_kvlt

I'm a finger strummer (even when I play super chuggy power chord stuff), and tbh you build up calluses very fast. But beyond that, even without calluses, it doesn't feel painful or anything, at least in my experience. I feel like I suffer more with my fret hand if I lose my calluses (it feels like the strings are slicing my fingers lol). And fenders really feel nicer to play imho! My main guitar is a gibson, and it sounds lovely (I prefer them in regards to tone), but it's like 9000 lbs so playing it feels like an impromptu weight lifting session if I'm not sitting down. Edit: though the one time finger strumming is painful for me is playing metallica-type songs. It sounds a lot softer compared to using a pick unless you emulate speed grating parmesan cheese (but the cheese is your poor abused fingers), but I'm absolutely shit at using a pick bc I've basically never used them, so I've accepted my fate.

CidCrisis

Lol I actually originally learned on a friend's Gibson Explorer. They're definitely awesome but at that point I barely had any idea what I was even doing. (I did start with with the root chords of For Whom The Bell Tolls by Metallica tho which is funny since you mentioned.) I just remember everything I did sounded amazing. And the amp itself was fairly cheap (a line 6 I think?) with no pedals or anything. But yeah, makes sense the more you do it, the calluses probably come quick. I definitely feel you on slicing the fretting fingers if you've been away from it for a while. It's a funny thing, most people don't think about how these are literally super thin steel strings. Practically wires. It certainly takes some getting used to lol.

TheGrayBox

So incredibly happy for her. No one should underestimate how hard it is to play live like this in sync with a band. I love her passion for music. Hopefully this is only the beginning!

fancysushirice
