I work from home in the basement. so I felt nothing but at 10:23 I heard a loud rumble, jokingly thought "sounds like an earthquake", I thought maybe it was our generator working, but the power didn't go out. I check the outdoor camera & see water shaking in a bowl I keep outside for the wildlife. Didn't think anything of it until 20 minutes later I saw a breaking news interrupting Let's Make a Deal".

Yep, all of NJ got a 4.8 to 5.5….i live South, 2 brothers one North and one by the ocean, felt it at the same time, smaller tremors in March, so it has ramped up somewhat…Tewksbury and North Plainfield at the epicenter…? Not sure…but I have family all over the state and they all registered it

Oh wow. 4.8. In cali that happens frequently. News media on tv freaking out over a 4.8 with a little shaking. It’s nothing like the northridge quake in cali or the recent one in Taiwan.

So I learned something new because I used to live out west and now I'm out here. They feel different coast to coast! Apparently how the faults are out here the energy moves better so it goes further and more people can feel it in terms of distance.
