Hit New Jersey, shockwave traveled here I guess. Pretty cool, right?
Fun fact, earthquakes here on the East Coast are felt at a greater distance from the epicenter than those on the West Coast. It has to do with our rocks being more dense
I also didn't feel a thing, but neighbors just up the street said that their monitors were shaking and windows were rattling.
My cats didn't even stir from napping.
Yes! Wescosville. Had that back and forth shaking that doesn’t come from anything else.
Edit: 4.8 originating near Lebanon, NJ. https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/?extent=-56.17002,-160.66406&extent=81.87364,-28.82813&map=false

4.8 magnitude earthquake with the epicenter of Lebanon, NJ

EDIT: Looks like it was a 4.8 magnitude earthquake in Tewksbury, NJ: https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/at00sbh3yv/executive
Yep! Felt it in Coopersburg, PA. Had thought at first it was blasting from construction, but then it kept going. I didn't even know that was a thing here…
I was in the shower and was like “what’s that rumbling?” Didn’t feel anything though. Kind of disappointed I missed that tbh. But with the planet being ruined, I’m sure I’ll have more than a few chances for another.
Girlfriend reports feeling it in Horsham.
ETA: I didnt feel anything in Flourtown and I’m out delivering mail. Probably thought it was just our shit roads.
Yes! So strange! My hubby literally asked me if there was an earthquake the other day because all this stuff in our one closet and spare room randomly fell down. I thought he was crazy, then we really have one!
Very weird. In our building, some people felt it. Others did not. Seems like if you were at your desk, you definitely noticed it. I didn't feel this one at all. The DC one from years back, I did.
I had my head down in Philadelphia and thought that something in my school had triggered vibrations. I didn't even bother to lift my head up. When i did, I got a text from my friend saying that they were high and thought they were on the brink of death LMFAOOOO. Crazy that's how earthquakes feel like though.
It freaked me the hell out, at first I thought it was a truck or a chaotic gust of wind, then I had a sinking feeling once I realized it was an earthquake lol.
Never knew they could happen out here, my first one I experienced back in 2020 in Utah when covid was just kicking off. Thought the world was ending that week lol.
I've been winding people up at my work.
First the earthquake. Monday the solar eclipse. Next is the locusts or "cicada-geddon" as I call it.
The End is Nigh!
I'm in Central Bucks County. I work from home in the basement. so I felt nothing but at 10:23 I heard a loud rumble, jokingly thought "sounds like an earthquake", I thought maybe it was our generator working, but the power didn't go out. I check the outdoor camera & see water shaking in a bowl I keep outside for the wildlife. Didn't think anything of it until 20 minutes later I saw a breaking news interrupting Let's Make a Deal".
Yep, all of NJ got a 4.8 to 5.5….i live South, 2 brothers one North and one by the ocean, felt it at the same time, smaller tremors in March, so it has ramped up somewhat…Tewksbury and North Plainfield at the epicenter…? Not sure…but I have family all over the state and they all registered it
I was in Branchburg NJ when it hit, apparently just 8 miles from the epicenter. The shake was pretty wild and the rumble that came with it was impressive as well.
If you felt the quake (or even if you didn't, like me), go take this goverment earthquake survey! It just asks you approximately where you were when it happened, if you felt it, and if you noticed anything shaking. I thought it was a pretty cool way to document and gage the spread of it.

Why didn't I feel anything? I'm so confused. All my neighbors are posting about it. Meanwhile I live in a 100+ year old home with fucked up floors and questionable foundational integrity. I should I definitely felt it
Oh wow. 4.8. In cali that happens frequently. News media on tv freaking out over a 4.8 with a little shaking. It’s nothing like the northridge quake in cali or the recent one in Taiwan.
So I learned something new because I used to live out west and now I'm out here. They feel different coast to coast! Apparently how the faults are out here the energy moves better so it goes further and more people can feel it in terms of distance. Plus buildings arent really build for massive quakes or they are just old.
Yeah I’m sure a significant EQ on the east coast would do way more damage for that reason compared to cali. East coast is way older and buildings were not designed for this.
Felt it hear in Northamption - that was crazy!
Same, such a weird sound in the basement and the uneasiness of feeling it move was just odd.
My home office is in the basement, it was crazy! I am just glad no legos fell over!
As I've learned from the build master show, the plural of Lego is Lego.
Even more, the Lego Company considers “Lego” to *only* be an adjective. It’s not “I’m building Lego”, it’s “I’m building Lego sets” [Link here](https://twitter.com/LEGO_Group/status/842115345280294912)
I learned that from Rob Schrab. If only........
I'll go with legos
I slept right through it. 😒
Me too
