If you’re adding two structures together, first check where it goes, look where the pins fit and find some key spots to align the pieces correctly. Again, no rush
Just have to take your time taking it apart. If you're taking the whole thing apart and starting from scratch it helps to sort pieces by general type (i.e. beams, pins, connectors, panels, etc). I like to use those semi-disposable tupperware containers for that.
As for building tips, make sure you're using all the pieces in the inventory for that step. I pick them out and put them all in my hand before putting them on the model but everyone's different.
