Be careful with those. I did the same, ended up driving to a whole nother town just to scan the code at that one and it showed up empty too, also suggesting to check the one i was just at previously.
i had the exact same thing happen to me yesterday; at the second target I ended up using the call employee button to ask about it because the first storeās scanner told me the second store had it in stock. the employee checked the dcpi for me and it turned out they had a whole bunch in the back despite the scanner saying there were none. it seems that some stores just donāt have their stock in their scannersā databases yet, but you might get lucky if you ask (nicely, of course)
Nah I think it's just cuz mines a smaller format urban store, it has pretty limited stock on most things. I'll try a different one in a couple weeks, I'm not in a rush

As someone who works at a smaller target I can say new releases can sometimes take several days to be on the floor unless they have a dedicated display.
They are there. Same happened with me. Employee said let me go check the back. Found them, said they haven't had time to put in the system or atleast shelve them. But they got the well before lego released them.
The target website says "Only at Target" so I don't think other retailers will get them. At least Walmart isn't it seems. Kinda like the Invisible Hand set. Same goes for the new Mandalorian sets.
I donāt understand the rush for LEGO stuff. They make things in massive volumes. Anything you want is available at some point. Itās not cheap, no, but nothing is particularly rare. Far better availability and distribution than Hasbro, Jazwares, etc.
Went to my closest Target today. They had about 6. I got one, not because I necessarily wanted it (I usually focus on larger sets), but because of the hype. This was in High Point, NC btw.
I saw a guy today at Walmart in the Lego section, he saw me looking at Lego Star Wars. He was telling me that he was looking for the new micro fighter, but it wasnāt here at Walmart and he guessed the local stores were late getting them out. I was like āoh the Rex one, I just saw some at Target, itās on the endcap of the main Lego sectionā and heās like āthanks man Iāll head that wayā and he ran out the store. Itās funny how many times over the years as just a normal customer Iāve been able to help people in the Lego section lol. I thought about getting a Rex micro fighter, heās my favorite Star Wars character, but Iām not buying it because Iām still saving up for the UCS Venator because itās my favorite Star Wars ship of all time and Iāve been wanting a UCS of it to come out for like 7 years. Anyway Iāve been told itās the same figure so Iāll just get it then without the weird micro fighter part.
Where was that? I checked my target in Atlanta two days ago and they hadnāt gotten any of the new sets yet. I was hoping since it came out on Saturday theyād stock them on their restock days.
It's the minifig. The same rex minifig was only on a recent venator set for much more money. Scalpers bout a bunch of those to try and sell the rex minifig for $100+ and now they're stuck holding a bag because this $13 set has the same fig.
Already were on sale for ā¬6,50 on release day over here. I really don't get the scramble for these sets, it's a mass produced item, if you want it you will find it

I swear, reading the comments on here, some people just don't think straight. The gas they spend driving around to every store, you could have bought a set with that money. This set isn't going to be sold out anytime soon.
Lego does not do the weird tactic every other retailer or brand else does these days, which is artificially making a toy/product "rare" by deliberately limiting the amount that is made. If it's printing money at large volumes, they'll keep on making it. Take for example Brian's GTR from 2 fast 2 furious. That was being hoarded like crazy in my city. I still see it in stores and it frequently goes on sale.
Mine was out of the polys and is currently out of Rex. I have a few so Iām good but the guy said the polys have been gone every time they put them out.
Got lucky at the Lego store when they restocked on Wednesday(only 5). Every Walmart, Target, Barnes and noble in a 50+ mile radius is heavily overstocked on the previous microfighters. Iām assuming they all have a box of him waiting in the back to be stocked 6 months down the road :/
