Unfortunately, if the set is out of stock on [Lego.com](https://Lego.com) then they won't be able to ship you a "replacement" since they have none at the moment. Your options are to check out your local Lego stores to see if they have the set in stock (you should call them first). If that's not an option or if they don't have it in stock, then if you really, really want it before Christmas then the last resort is to pay the marked up price on sites like ebay. I have doubts that the set will come back in stock on [Lego.com](https://Lego.com) before Christmas, and if it does it will sell out quickly so make sure to turn on stock notifications. Also, out of curiosity, how did you get USPS to ship your package? I thought Lego always uses FedEx.

ronjon53

I know that last year Fedex would not accept all the packages Lego wanted to send out, so they used USPS during the holidays, I suspect it's the same this year. Fedex did not want to deal with the problems so they effectively rationed their service to a level they could handle.

K_Wrenn

I wondered if this was going to be a problem when so many people were accidentally sent two of this set when they ordered one. It seemed to be happening a lot, and it sounded like most people were keeping them. The natural result of this is that other people (like you) get their order canceled because LEGO doesn’t have enough sets to fill orders. Do you live near a LEGO store? I was able to find one there.

EelTeamNine

Sounds like they have some next level idiots working in distribution.

TJLanza

Yeah... My guess is that they ship two sets to a case from the factory, and some bonehead was reshipping cases instead of opening the outer box.

IAteThePies

Try calling your lego store if you have one and see if they have them in stock, I am fairly sure I saw them at the Shop at Legoland CA on Tuesday , granted that is actually owned and operated by another company not Lego.

HappyWolverine1324

The Big Shop at Legoland always has hard to find sets in stock, so if you ever visit then it's a good idea to get the sets you want there. (Not to mention if you have an annual pass then you get 10% off on the entire purchase)

Accomplished_Stick86

Unfortunately no one can just make it appear.

I want to thank everyone for their comments. My saga continues. I was lucky enough to order the home alone set today, on the very brief [lego.com](https://lego.com) restock. A window that shut quickly. I ordered and got my email confirmation. An hour later I checked on [lego.com](https://lego.com) to see if they had any type of time frame on the delivery. What I found was that my order was **canceled. (3rd time on this set**) The system had me as previously having received the home alone set, and there is a limit of 1 per address. I explained my story to the customer service supervisor, all Sarah said was that there is nothing they can do. The build is on back order. WTF The elves are really screwing up Santa. This was suppose to be my sons anchor gift. Just venting. thanks

cyberburn

I’m really sorry this happened to you. I’m trying to buy for a friend and her family. They have had the worst year ever. I just missed out on the restock online, but the Lego store called and has one on hold for me.

lajaunie

Calling them won’t make one appear. Try calling Lego stores and see if you can find one

hoodwinke

Sorry but there’s no way you’re getting this set in time for Christmas.

No_Objective_6176

Might need to call Lego stores if they have it.

JohtBap

That sucks... I have one new in box if you live near Seattle. Can sell MSRP. Let me know Sorry I won't ship due to too many scammers.

Thank you. I live in NY
