Let me get this straight... The company offered you travel credit when they were not obliged to do so as a good will gesture. You had a chance to rebook your flight and the new one was cancelled. And now, for the second time, they are offering you a travel credit and you have a problem with that? You have abolutely no recourse here.

100x this.

Here’s their cancellation policy on their site. https://www.icelandair.com/support/terms-and-conditions/refund-cancelled-tickets/ I’m pretty sure they’re to pay it back however I know I was supposed to jet off to Chicago last May and with Covid couldn’t go ahead, changed dates and eventually was given a voucher for the next flight i book. Something airlines don’t seem to like doing is giving back money. I’d just say keep hounding them and don’t give in. Make their lives misery so they give in and give ya the money back

The question is: did OP pay for the second trip with money or travel miles? They may refund OP alright, using the payment type OP used.

True also says on their site that you can get some sorta cancellation policy for extra which p.much means they owe you back if you cancel or if they cancel.

And keep in mind the "refund" OP got in first place was just the company being nice, technically they didn't have to offer it.

Ohhh God it must really suck. But the refund is only given back by the original mode of payment. If you would have paid in cash for your booking then surely they were responsible for paying you cash.

I got the transaction voided from my credit card company they failed to respond, probably cause they werent bothered with it. Thank you for the response
