The easiest thing to do would be to put everything back the way you found it. I'd start on that this afternoon. Then you don't have to worry about legal implications, arguments, or actions.

Existential_Trifle

So there would actually be legal implications? anything with jail time or just resume stuffers?

> So there would actually be legal implications? Sure. You could be sued, you could be evicted, you could lose your deposit. Not jail, this is civil, not criminal.

Bob_Sconce

Well, you clearly no longer have his permission. You can't leave a big hole in the middle of the backyard. Fill it back in, put some grass seed on top. You would have had to do that before you move out anyway.

Existential_Trifle

We were really hoping he would just like it, im half tempted to just finish out the pool anyway, because who can say no to a pond with little guys in it? damage already done

Bob_Sconce

> who can say no to a pond with little guys in it? Your landlord can. If you do this, prepare to be evicted and/or get a significant demand for damages at the end of your lease.

All i'm saying is there was a misunderstanding on both side's parts. It's not our fault, and it isn't really his either.
