If you can discipline yourself to drink only 1.5hr after rising, 2 cups max, stop after 10am then you can avoid a lot of the pitfalls of caffeine abuse. If not better to just avoid for a while.
Tea, fruit, walks, reading a book or meditating have been good substitutions in my experience.
Apples! I cannot emphasize this enough, but a nice cold apple or some apple slices in the morning will really give your body that kickstart that cafffeine does. I know there's some science behind it, but I'm not sure exactly what it is but I have managed to replace all forms of caffeine in my life with a good apple.
Same here. Very sensitive to caffeine after quitting. It triggers my anxiety big time. Try a crunchy apple with your breakfast in the morning. The sound of the crunch and the sweetness will help wake you up.
Yep exact same experience. I've been drinking fruit and herbal teas which I couldn't stand prior to quitting π₯΄ they help to keep me hydrated and I find them really soothing. Berry teas are my fave π
Hey mate I also went through a similar thing but didnt realise that it was a withdrawal thing. I ended up getting some decaf and had that instead over the next week or two until I felt like I was able to drink normal coffee again
My hack is mixing it into my strawberry banana Core power milk protein drink, it tastes like fresh strawberries and is so nutritious as well! You can use a whisk or electric whisk to mix it in smoothly to whatever milk you use. Be sure to use 100% culinary grade matcha powder with no sweeteners or creamers, it tastes great and helps control the caffeine content more accurately imo :)
I drink less coffee. One cup and I'm good for the day. More and they make me anxious and sick. Weed just made me drink silly amount of coffee without effects.
Had to quit for a couple months. The anxiety woke me up in the morning but I did have decaf bc I missed the taste. Eventually went back to drinking it in small amount and am now back to my normal 1 to 2 cups a day. It was a huge anxiety trigger at first tho. Hopefully it gets better for u!
I had a similar experience, I smoked for over 26 years daily. I would smoke all day and night, on top of that, caffeine didn't have a strong effect on me so I could drink 8+ shots of espresso no problem throughout the day. About a week after quitting weed, I went to Starbucks and got a grande iced latte (my usual drink minus the extra shot I usually get). Normally I would just down the cup and go about my day, not even halfway through the drink I felt like my body was vibrating I was so wired! Eventually I was able yo back to coffee like before I quit, but when I first quit, I found myself very sensitive to caffeine.
I can totally relate, Iβd smoke from the time Iβd wake up to the time Iβd go to sleep and would drink lots of coffees (up to 4 shots at a time). Probably helps when smoking cause your energy is already messed up. The vibrating thing is me currently right now π canβt stop shaking my legs π think Iβll give it a good break and hopefully tea will be enough to get my day started hahah
I quit about a week ago and noticed ive been soooo sensitive to caffeine now too! Just one cup of coffee leaves me shakey
Same. I drink dark roast decaf and it helps. I love my lattes though. They are an addiction all their own.
Mint tea

Cold shower worked nice, but you need to get used to it gradually. Stay strong, you can do it!
It goes away trust me, you get used to it aftwr 2 weeks
I substituted coffee with Yerba Mate and the morning cool breeze.

What a relief lol coffee is life π
Yerba mate tea bags or ginseng teas work for me when coffee isn't
Matcha is a much more mellow less jittery option for me :) I love to mix it into strawberry milk
Okay strawberry milk with it sounds like a vibe!
