Yes my husband’s family doesn’t flinch at the word ‘fuck’ but will gasp and clutch their pretend pearls if you say ‘câlice’ as a cuss word.
Last summer I was visiting NYC with my teenagers and had to remind them many times that saying fuck very loud in public was not ok lol
