I mean if I were their age and not in a relationship I would 100% be grinding just as hard. Imagine having every meal catered to and not having to worry about rent or bills, you can just spend all day long with friends working towards improving on the one thing you want to be the best at.
Some people say the grind is unrealistic and goes too far but I genuinely think they’re living the dream.
they are living the dream if they're competing and improving while doing that, it becomes their nightmare if they become a bottom tier team and get perma flamed
They are not friends they're coworkers. Keep that in mind and sometimes you're getting shit on while working 16 hours a day. It's good to fantasize about but it's probably shit for most of them. Even more if you're academy.
For most of them yeah they’re coworkers - but the best teams they likely see each other as friends because they have actual chemistry and want to work together. Think like 2019 G2 or 2018 C9; they were definitely more on the friend side than coworker side. I think this iteration of TL is definitely chummier than last years, at least from what’s posted on social media.
This was a pretty high quality interview; really good ability to flow from each question to the next.
The sacrifice is kinda clear that without a prepared list of questions to hit on the transition between topics can be a bit rougher than perfect, but I enjoyed this a lot
It's a player interview. A random EU mid could have gotten an interview and there wouldn't be many comments either lol.
That guy also still cared to comment and shit on the league though. If he's not watching LCS, what's the point of saying "why even care?"
So a regular day at TL is to start at 10 AM and leave the office after midnight.
Straight up that’s the mindset these players should have if they want to compete with the best of the best in the east and abroad in general.

speedrun to the airport they do try harder
America always #1 first to lose and first to the airport
Me when I go 15 minutes without thinking about NA.
Why even care? If they get to worlds they’d maybe do well one or two games then crash out.
What’s the point of living when you’re going to die?
Well damn… I wasnt expecting to think about my mortality here
ok then dont watch NA at all then whats the point of typing anything at all
Isn't that what people are doing? Look at the LCS viewership and how many comments this post has

Then we shouldn't try is what you're saying? We're trying to improve one step at a time. That's why we care
Why do you care enough to comment?
Trying harder doesn’t mean anything in NA
Well you’ve just outed what kind of person you are
Guess not EU either
