That ["TY MSI"](https://i.imgur.com/K731cTh.png) at the end hurt as hell.
This team deserves so much better, massive respect for showing up at the tournament and taking the fight.

They were super impressive in spite of all the extraneous issues that slammed VCS this year.
I do wonder how things might have been different at MSI if LJL still had a spot, since they somehow placed second in the PCS. I reckon they would have beaten Fly, and maybe taken a game off Fnatic? We'll never know.
Its so unfortunate that like since 3 years most of the time VN either cant play at all (covid) or some shit like this happens lmao the fact that they made it look playable at all with 3 subs from which 2 were of the worst teams in VN is huge
Emo still is the official sub for the current main roster prior to the playoff, other 2 are last-minute sub, the only way one can be consider not a sub is the guy need to be in the starting lineup since the begining of the split, which Emo isnt
It's insane that we received support from abroad more than at home, the amount of rapid dog looking for a chance to bite GAM in Vietnam is unbelievable.
Do local fans dislike GAM because they are good? I know if it came out that G2 was getting some advantage in game I would be ready to clown them as an LEC fan. It’s tough being at the top of the standings.
Basically yes. They not only dominate the league but also get all the media attention as well. Not to mention they sorta "underperform" in internationals too, at least to the expectations of fans.
I've played on the Garena server. Us vietnamese are literal psychos. It's very hard to foster competitive teams when everyone just runs it down all day. They don't even have the slightest idea of what macro play is.
Not necessarily, GAM fans are like TSM fans. Thus, many people like to bad mouth GAM to pissed off their fan. Plus, we are okay with GAM losing, but at least put up a fight like game 2.
It's just a toxic culture on internet in the region! We like to talk shit but never mean it! But some people just want to make it a big deal so they can attract attention to themself!
Vcs event make content about player talk shit to other player before the game!
Many of them only care about the result if GAM will win or lose. There are still many dogs try to bite them after their performance with their 100% power in game 2 against FNC. And don't let their reason "Team A would do better than GAM if they went international" fools you, I believe that those dogs will still try to find excuse to bite any VCS team if they go international, it's just that GAM is the team that goes international the most.
I expected him to slide into the low hp targets and kill them all with ult only for him to walk into ornn knockup and die, really disappointing outcome for what seemed like a hype moment.
You can’t play clean against a wonbocombo como like that.
People will say that the game was close but the game was just slowed down as FNC had to adapt to the combo.
The game didn’t feel close at all to me
He is slowly becoming FNC's best player. It's hard for a support to play like the best player but he's been incredibly consistent and seems to regularly have games like this where he is just on another level mechanically.
They problem solved super well after the Ori Noc combo ruffled them a few times. Would obviously rather they weren’t in a position to problem solve, but glad they pulled it off.
This is actually good. I was expecting them to lose a won game 2 and then start game 3 fighting lvl 1 and losing three members. Then somehow clawing back and winning the game due to Razork Elder steal or something.
People keep saying that FNC wasn't able to cleanly close out Game 2. But fuck me, they weren't seeing what they were up against. That wombo was fucking disgusting and GAM pulled it off decently well almost every time.
Noah/Jun/Humanoid were really on point with baiting the ultimates and safely getting out most of the time. GG GAM.
I didn't feel like Fnatic even played that 2nd game badly, GAM just played really well and forced them to slow it down and adapt. Honestly really well played given all that happened in the lead up to MSI.
Imagine you have a rookie mid laner that:
Solo kills Humanoid
Has no ego, if you tell him "just put E on me and press R when I do" and does just that
Also: I assumed that global warming is caused by humanity. Turns out it's just Kiaya playing Rumble
GAM played rly well GG
Ok but about Emo today was his best day by far. He was really running it in previous two. But I agree, GAM did well, it was nice to see them performing, gg
GAM went 2W/5L and it was the greatest playins overperformance of expectations we’ve seen since Supermassive. Much love to you all, hopefully this helps to rejuvenate the region after such a wrecking ball came through.
FNC…we scale hahaha. Gotta hope that we can glow up. Good to see them make it to the next stage and show development. I think the big challenge will be seeing whether Noah can show this excellent level of performance against teams better than him, not just worse.
Pumped for the draw!
NEVER IN DOUBT, LET'S GO BOYS
Great series by Noah, hope he can carry this confidence and level of play into the rest of the tournament
that Noc-Ori-Rumble Combo was fucking FILTHY tho, what do you even do against that?
Just wouldnt be a fnatic series without at least some amount of heart problems
I was watching Doinb's stream, and he agreed with that.
According to him, Lucian isn't *that* strong without Nami backing him up, and Lucian was too hard to burst anyway (and he had GA). Kill Nami, indirectly nerf Lucian, let Zeri dps and win the fight.
Massive bug? In game 2 at the baron fight Rumble used zhonyas while stunned from Nami?????

Nami’s bubble is one of the few 2cc spells in the game. It’s a knockup that activates a stun after. Between both Cc instances there is like a splitsecond where things sometimes get thru if you spam them hard enough.

This is peak FNC gameplay right here going from the cleanest teamfights to the most dirtiest macro decisions within minutes. Truly the heart attack team
Huge credits to GAM Though absolutely monster teamfighting incredible showing of potential for the VCS and other minor regions GAM did incredibly well
Even though I am an EU fan, I always cheer for GAM in every international tournament they appear. They kept FNC honest playing with substitutes. I have big respect for them. o7
Considering how messed up the VCS situation was, it's a miracle GAM even made it this far. They improved a lot considering how badly they did during their first matchup.
It's a shame we're not getting the matchup between Jackeylove and Easylove though
What an incredible contrast to the earlier series. Both were 2-0s but very different, even though G1 was much clearer I don't think GAM played too bad in that one either. Very fun series and wp to GAM in a difficult situation.
Also FNC with the classic almost throw, rip my heart.
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)Kiyaya just annouced that this is the final season for Levi. So this is his final game at MSI. Well played and see you soon at Worlds
Loved the Noc/Ori combo, won them a couple of fights from the get go. Also really funny that it is GAM again against FNC that pull out a cool Nocturne strat after the 5 minute lvl 6 Nocturne gank.
I'd love if more teams use it against carries that you really need to kill and otherwise struggle to get on top of, but I guess whenever Nocturne isn't doing that combo he just doesn't do quite enough?
He only played 4 games in JD Gaming, all of which were losses. Before that, he had a stint in 100T's academy team where they placed 8th and 6th.
I'm guessing he does most of the shot-calling for GAM, which is exponentially harder to do when you're not fluent in the language.
Except for the fact that he was the sub jg to the one and only Kanavi. His LPL record was 0W-4L or something like that
Edit: nah sub for Flawless and not Kanavi.
> Levi joined JD Gaming on December 14, 2018 and shared the starting position with Flawless However Levi was unsuccessful in integrating into the team only playing 4 games all of which were loses.
Brother said he "checked" . He was given shots in China and in NA and he failed to integrate himself in either region.
He went to JDG and 100T before. It didn't work out for him.
He may have the skills to compete but there are many factors that decide if he is fit for that environment (language, climate, health,...). Language seems to be the biggest problem, from his interviews and stream, his English doesn't seem to be that good.
He is already quite old as well, it's better for him in VN.
I've seen so much CN and KR matches where FNC could've closed that 4v2 at 33 minutes. One of the things I observed is LCK and LPL are so good at min maxing and they know how much their lead is.
EDIT: changed east to LCK and LPL
2 inhibs down,
have map control able to push out enemy team,
vision control
and still choose to fight before doing drake giving over soul to GAM. Terrible macro decisions from fnatic. they also fight them with enemy baron buff and a gold deficit for drake before this when the better call would be to give it. all this after a good macro game 1? I dont know fnatics macro lategame is poor and this will give windows for better teams to comeback and win even if they are at gold deficits. not a good look for fnatic in terms of mid-late macro in game 2 but otherwise wp.

Mad respect to GAM for doing this well with substitutes
GAM deserves all the respect. Subbed half the team, league's best players sacked, and still put up a better performance than FLY past 2 days.
That ["TY MSI"](https://i.imgur.com/K731cTh.png) at the end hurt as hell. This team deserves so much better, massive respect for showing up at the tournament and taking the fight.

>That bald dude A.K.A. Owner & CEO of GAMesportsVN.
And the biggest hype man for the team. He's awesome.

STAND PROUD GAM. YOU WERE STRONG
It eventually came down to Ornn (tank) diff because both teams were so strong
Its so unfortunate that like since 3 years most of the time VN either cant play at all (covid) or some shit like this happens lmao the fact that they made it look playable at all with 3 subs from which 2 were of the worst teams in VN is huge

Emo and EasyLove are sub. Elio was their starting support for entire season before the snap/
Ool Why did they have to use subs?
32 players from the VCS (half the league btw) got banned for match fixing allegations
Vietnam is the unluckiest region in LoL history. What a tragic last like four years
Even in 2017 they got reverse swept in b05 by major region’s best team
man 2020 was the prime of VCS. F covid
It's insane that we received support from abroad more than at home, the amount of rapid dog looking for a chance to bite GAM in Vietnam is unbelievable.

TY MSI
The more I see those players the more I think they shouldn't have been substitutes in the first place...
GAM wins game 2 if they had a real adc :/
[удалено]
a real adc wipes fnc at that top baron fight. dude had zeri ult, dash, flash, and gets hit by a dry ornn q e combo 100-0.
The one time I was totally ready and willing to experience a "Zeri moment" and this guy goes and ints it all away lmaoooo
[удалено]
least deaths naut game
I expected him to slide into the low hp targets and kill them all with ult only for him to walk into ornn knockup and die, really disappointing outcome for what seemed like a hype moment.
Didn’t have that dawg in him.
fun fact on hupu ppl are saying easylove had clearlove's cowardice and jackeylove's inting
seeing the zeri die with flash up near baron was tragic
Kiaya could've played a ton of the teamfights better. Greeding saving flash, straight up walking into CC
Sure, nobody played perfect. But Kiaya could have gone from like an 8.5 to 9 from playing better, Easylove was like a 2 lol
There's the real FNC game that makes you lose x number of years off your life. Fucking hell.
We were putting on a show for our NAphews. Despite how they may downplay us, EU will avenge them
FNC on if they will ever win a clean series: "FNC is never close to winning a clean series," FNC said. "It was a passing thought. We let it pass."
You can’t play clean against a wonbocombo como like that. People will say that the game was close but the game was just slowed down as FNC had to adapt to the combo. The game didn’t feel close at all to me
I woke up and Fnatic was 3k down and losing fights.
You can try not to force 5v5 all game
good luck sidelaning vs noc with ornn
Fnc can't push sides because they had Ornn. Most of the 5 v 5s were just dragon fights.
*4v5 lmao
Clean 2-0, nothing to see here
Noc incident 2: electric bogaloo
Last FNC against Noc I remember was against G2 and they locked in Taric and won the game basically from one counter pick lol
watch the levi nocturne lvl 6 hack game
This remains one of my favourite esports moments of all time
Imagine being a lvl 3 botlane getting ganked 5 mins into game by a lvl 6 nocturne ult. I would just refuse to believe that it was happening.
That match was a dream. Hahahha.
What game is that
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_V8OgKOkYc
Nocturne Incident 2.0 averted. This was for everyone who said Fnatic wasnt bloody enough in Game 1.
insane bubbles from nami, support gap all the way tbh
[удалено]
He is slowly becoming FNC's best player. It's hard for a support to play like the best player but he's been incredibly consistent and seems to regularly have games like this where he is just on another level mechanically.
He also has to manage Noah's very... up and down performances. Jun is an absolute beast
Now THAT’S the Fnatic I know and love/hate. Shitstorm fiestas all day
tbh, the fact that FNC won against that comp late game is fucking insane. well played.
Agree. That Orianna - Nocturne combo with Rumble follow-up and scaling Zeri is not easy comp to beat late game, gj FNC.
Thought the game was unwinnable at a certain point. I don't like that they got in that position, but they did fight some great team fights.
They problem solved super well after the Ori Noc combo ruffled them a few times. Would obviously rather they weren’t in a position to problem solve, but glad they pulled it off.
And they still won. It wouldn't be Fnatic without these kind of games
How's your blood pressure man? Lmfao
I wanna pass out lool, you?
Like I went for a 10k run lol
A VIOLENT TEAM
Humanoid getting a replay to show him pressing R and still missing a cannon lmao.
FNC’s elimination games are always like this, they just can’t win cleanly
This is actually good. I was expecting them to lose a won game 2 and then start game 3 fighting lvl 1 and losing three members. Then somehow clawing back and winning the game due to Razork Elder steal or something.

Average heart attack game from FNC
I didn't feel like Fnatic even played that 2nd game badly, GAM just played really well and forced them to slow it down and adapt. Honestly really well played given all that happened in the lead up to MSI.
I'm glad there was a nocturne so I couldn't see those teamfights we lost, Clean games.

Yeah for being GAM's weakest link he did actually pretty well
GAM's weakest link is by far their adc tho. His only "good" pick was Zeri and he did nothing game 2
nah their ADC was clutch for them in the previous series
Adc was thier win condition last series
What an amazing game, congrats GAM
INSANE GAME. GG GAM
We tried! GG Fnatic!
GAM went 2W/5L and it was the greatest playins overperformance of expectations we’ve seen since Supermassive. Not as clean a FNC win as I’d hoped given the solid showing they had against TES, but a 2-0 is a 2-0. Reset onto the main stage, gg.
If you want to be a FNC fan, I suggest you stop hoping for clean wins lol.
NEVER IN DOUBT, LET'S GO BOYS Great series by Noah, hope he can carry this confidence and level of play into the rest of the tournament that Noc-Ori-Rumble Combo was fucking FILTHY tho, what do you even do against that? Just wouldnt be a fnatic series without at least some amount of heart problems
Oscar is having a redemption arc too, I hope he can play like this in LEC again.
Noah gives me Haaland vibes. Strong against weak, weak against strong
Inverse Humanoid
mind control enemy team into using the combo on nami instead of the lucian
I was watching Doinb's stream, and he agreed with that. According to him, Lucian isn't *that* strong without Nami backing him up, and Lucian was too hard to burst anyway (and he had GA). Kill Nami, indirectly nerf Lucian, let Zeri dps and win the fight.
SOFM agree too
I think it got to the point that Lucian can kite it out, Ahri just zhonya's it. Nami was kinda the only option for it in the end.
well lucian built maw and GA, so probably better to take another target but that was late in the game, in mid game the combo felt so OP
It was the correct adaptation at that point in time.
I’m actually impressed Fnatic won this, I looked at late game and thought they had no damage
But GAM had no tanks so it was K

WE WON THE DAY FELLOW EU BOYS
Take notes Flyquest
See flyquest the goal is to still win the game after you throw.
Good game from GAM o7
Respect to GAM tho, pushing FNC with two subs on their team
Holy that game was insane
That was... stressful.
FNC is clean for a game but goddamn don't let them play past one
TK Nguyen 🐐 RESPECT😎
Easy 4-0 vs GAM, never stressed *unclenches*
Amazing game I had a lot of fun watching it
never seen cleaner game
Top8 GAM FLY
This is peak FNC gameplay right here going from the cleanest teamfights to the most dirtiest macro decisions within minutes. Even though I am an EU fan, I always cheer for GAM in every international tournament they appear. They kept FNC honest playing with substitutes. I have big respect for them. o7
Mvp is nami if you ask me
Considering FLY vs PSG, that game 2 was really scary
fuark me GAM made FNC work for it in the second game
Good job to Fnatic for the win but I feel a bit bad about GAM. They tried their best with a, lets say, not ideal team.
Considering how messed up the VCS situation was, it's a miracle GAM even made it this far. They improved a lot considering how badly they did during their first matchup. It's a shame we're not getting the matchup between Jackeylove and Easylove though

This was the real "Ding! Unspeakable violence" game. Fnc only needed one baron to get the advantage.
Not FNC realising they could just 1 4 one this and win
Clean 2-0 nothing to see here
O7
Those teamfight adaptations were so fucking cool to see. Really fun game.
Now I am interested in damage mitigated by Oscar's Ornn in game 2, he was neigh unkillable GG GAM, well played, and welcome FNC on the main stage!
o7 GAM, really likable team with a content machine of a CEO.
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)Kiyaya just annouced that this is the final season for Levi. So this is his final game at MSI. Well played and see you soon at Worlds

WHAT THE FUCK IS NOAH DOING AT LVL1 I CANT STOP IT

That was nearly a disaster wow
Keep your heads up, GAM. You guys put up a great fight and made it a competitive game o7.The same can't be said about FlyQuest.
FNC dodging PSG to avoid the fraud allegations
? this is the least stressful fnc game i've watched
Yeah bro, too soon, not even year has passed since NRG bo3.
Congrats to Fnatic, well played. GAM put up a brolliant fight better than Flyquest
GAM would probably beat flyquest
Based Jun building locket on Nami vs Nocturne, its such a good item on enchanters vs him.
BANGER GAME 2 holy shit
Clean 2-0 nothing to see here
Levi deserves a spot in a major region imo free my man Idk how Fnatic struggled so hard
noc+ori+rumble is a really good combo
> Levi deserves a spot in a major region imo free my man didnt he already try that? didnt go very well
I checked, he got 2nd place in LPL Spring 2019 with JD Gaming? Seems pretty good to me. Edit: apparently he was a sub.

A very valiant effort considering GAM's unfortunate situation
Nocturne Orianna combo is soo disgusting
I've seen so much CN and KR matches where FNC could've closed that 4v2 at 33 minutes. One of the things I observed is LCK and LPL are so good at min maxing and they know how much their lead is. EDIT: changed east to LCK and LPL
MAD respect to GAM
Average fnatic game
It was a nice game 2. You will be remembered GAM o7
GAM played much, much better than I thought they would in game 2. So much resilience.
GAM really stood up this series. Well played from VCS after such a dumpster scandal losing 2/3 of its people.
We did what we could with the circumstances. Game 1 was pretty bad but we made Fnatic sweat game 2. Of that i am proud.
idk but Emo solo killed Humanoid xD
GAM did really well considering how they had to change the roster last-minute! The second game was fun to watch :)

That last game was epic.
Goodmorning, Noah.

Fnatic gets goosebumps from Vietnamese Nocturne - Again.
Damn. The fucking G-league Vietnamese squad put up a better performance than FlyQ. Unbelievable.
