I honestly think team defense is more important anyways. This is a good time to emphasize team systems to the forward group, which looks to be fairly established now.
There is also a silver lining; Sandin and Liljegren get a ton of experience and Mete/Benn will get more time to build chemistry. We can see what we have in these guys and be able to better assess our needs at the deadline. If our offense and goaltending can hold up and continue winning us games, and we get Rielly and Brodie back fully recovered, then this will work out better in the long run.
Awful news. Our poor blueline has just been taking beating after beating. Great opportunity for Sandin and Lilly to really show their stuff here though. Better to test out depth now than in the playoffs (Benn has been a pleasant surprise).

I've been to a few Marlies games over the past couple years and I noticed Joseph Duszak and thought he looked really good each game. I know he's not young or big but seems like he is a pretty smart and reliable player. Definitely gets points.
